Favre to the Saints is quite unlikely; and he has to retire as a Packer. The next worse thing to deteriorate as you age in the league is to change teams while you're getting worse. (cue Emmitt Smith) I think he may well retire this year; it's becoming more and more likely.
'Even' Deion Sanders? Last time I checked he still hits pretty hard. Vick probably doesn't have the hands for a WR, nor the build for a RB. He is a QB, just very different to what most NFL QBs are today. He is overrated at the moment and too many casual fans think that he's the Micheal Jordan equivalent in the NFL. I do enjoy watching him play especially his whip-like throwing motion. Give him a few years, he's got quite a bit more learning to do and he can only get better as he improves his decision making.

I'm a diehard steelers fan, but IF and only IF we get healthy, do I see use making the superbowl/getting past the colts.
If the steelers remain in their current funk with injuries, we can count it lost.
Other then that, I say, for a shocker, Colts make it to playoffs and get beat by someone because I seriously doubt they'll have a perfect season like the old dolphins.
NFC? Well, well, such a mess in this area of the NFL. Maybe Seattle if shaun alexander keeps the running the way he does.
super bowl? Eh..too early to tell.

Deion? A hard tackler? "Primetime" spent his entire career avoiding hard contact. He was always a liability on run defense, and he never wanted to really stick his head in the action. Best... shutdown... corner... EVAR. Big hitter? Umm... no.

Big hitter as in can lay the lickings. He can, even though he's small. Don't underestimate him even though he commentated :P I'd still fear howie long or shannon sharpe if they came back :P

You can't be that stupid. The Pats will win the AFC East. They're improving, but unlikely it'll be good enough for the three-peat. However, once they're in the playoffs, and they will be, all bets are off.
Besides, until Manning can beat Brady in the playoffs, he'll always be the lesser quarterback.

Deion never layed a solid hit on anyone in his entire career......unless he lucked into it!! I take nothing away from his talent/speed/ability, but as previously stated........his fear for contact maid him a liability for run Def.
I think the steelers O-Line would laugh at the comment "Actually Monkey Man still hits like a brick house, according to steeler's linemen. =)"
Deion would get flattened like a pre-searing tad vs an ascended Paladin....it would be a joke and definitely end up on ESPN's Monday Nite - YOU GOT JACKED UP segment!!!

Giants fan here. yes the Vikings game was sad, but i thought that the Eagles game was rather good. I don't see why people are saying something about a Manning vs Manning super bowl... considering that Eli is still young and getting used to the NFL.

Um uh my bad about the whole Deion Sanders thing.. I've only been watching football for 4-5 seasons and I must have gotten him confused with a safety. Moving on swiftly...
Looks like Samkon Gado is 90% hype at the moment. I think Fisher will be starting for GB next week. No joy for the Packers then. Also I can't believe we lost to the Viks again.

Some good news on the football front today... TO gets the big FU. Someone finally stood up to the spoiled brat and said, NO. I'd like to thank the arbitrator for doing the right thing and sending TO home for the year. To not do otherwise would have set a HORRIBLE precedent for the league, and we'd NEVER hear the end of TO gloating about it.
And Drew Rosenhaus can forget his status as an "elite agent" in NFL circles. All he's done is cost his client 4 game checks and get him fired. Way to represent your clients there buddy.

I'm very happy so far with this season. All of my favorite teams are doing well. (Colts, Bears, Cowboys, BTW). And no, I'm not bandwagoning. I've liked all these teams for a rather long time. I think there is a rather good chance that at least one of these teams might actually make the Super Bowl this year, so I might get to see some teams I like on that beautiful Sunday.
Out of curiosity, since I haven't been following this stuff up lately, who (if anyone) is playing tomorrow?

Cowboys-Broncos is the game I'll be watching. I forget who's playing in the other. I think it's the Lions and somebody.

It's the Denver Broncos AT The Dallas Cowboys and
Atlanta Falcons AT The Detroit Lions
I gamble on football games So naturally I watch them all...but I prefer either the Steelers or to watch the Seahawks...

what i find is funny is the NFLPA says that TO isn't getting his fair chance to play for someone. But he's still gonna get paid, so I can't see how this is a problem. The Eagles are fufilling their end, they are paying him and he doesn't even have to work.
I like the ruling because it shows that you can't just do whatever you want because you are one of the best in the NFL.
couple other notes...
-I would like to see Detroit and Dallas play each other once in a while. have the second game too of course.
-Troy Aikman's being on the list for candidates for the HOF only validates my point about SB appearances/wins being key for the QB position. Aikman's numbers: Completed 2,898 of 4,715 Passes for 32,942 Yards and 165 Touchdowns. In completions, he is 12th all-time, passing 20th, td's, he's not that close (#20 has 214). Not bad stats but not HOF material either.
But look, he won three SB's, one of only three QB's with at least that many. And he is the winningest quarterback of any decade in NFL history - 90 victories in the 90's. That got him on the list, not his stats.

Which is why I say Tom Brady can retire tomorrow and he's still an automatic Hall of Famer. His 3 Super Bowl wins, and 2 Super Bowl MVP's, combined with his career winning percentage totally overcome his less than HOF level stats.
