On 7th of November 2006 will take place the first birthday of the « Comité de la Bière des Nains » (Dwarven Beer Committee). This committee was created with an aim of putting forward the claims of the players regarding to the drink system in GW.

A guild was created in order to care about the committee’s organization and events. It bears the same name and has been elected “Guild of the week” by the past.

I want to remind you our regular activities :
- Monthly demonstrations every month’s first Sunday from 21:00 to 21:30 (GMT +1 winter/GMT +2 summer). We try to go on each continent as well, so as to allow every player to meet us. These demonstrations are the opportunities to claim for a cheaper beer. We also think that Anet’s recognition can make us be more credible in our claims.
- After at « Seafarer’s Rest », every Sunday from 21:30 (GMT +1 winter/GMT +2 summer). Time to party and chat with each other, drink some fresh dwarven beer, meet people, get in touch and have fun with some weird games (that might sound frenchie…) we play to : strip-dices, vomit challenge, cat chasing, …
- There’s currently a petition growing on france-guildwars.com, to ask for cheaper beer, and a wider drinking system.

Here are a few things we claim for :

- 20 gp worth Dwarven beer.
- Being able to loot drinks from monsters
- More kinds of drinks, depending on regions maybe (that was a great start with rice’s wine) such as :
- Strawberry milk
- Iris flower syrup
- Aloe liquor
- Fruits juices
- New effects for drinks :
- See the world pink.
- Raining flowers when one walk.
- See people with fruits appearance.
- Taverns and a brewer NPC we’d be able to buy for Guild Hall. Taverns could become arenas with specific rules and skills (like fighting being drunk for example).
- An emote when character is drinking.
- Special adds for the Guild Hall, decorations to buy or get in other ways (Brewer NPC, distilling, beer barrels…)
- Being able to create cocktails by mixing diverse drinks (such as dyes).
- Event-packs to buy for parties, with diverse drinks, fireworks, and some random gifts.
- NPCs refusing to interact when someone is drunk.
- Alcohol emanations around drunk people.
- Special area with rare and powerful drinks as a final gift (such as green weapons maybe).
- Rare and very rare drinks (pink, gold, or green)
- A special event “Dwarven beer party”
- A Guild Hall looking like a dwarven brewery.

For its birthday, committee organize an international event at Balthazar’s temple (and in international district, obviously), so as to allow every GW player, whatever playing to Prophecies, Factions, or both, to participate.

This event will occur on Sunday 5th of November 2006, 20:00 GMT (21:00 in Paris).

Just a recall,tomorrow is the D-day
