No Wii(Nintendo is not really in the main race. the wii looks awesome, but its going its own way and doing things differently).

But the PS3 and 360... I dunno... I hear alot of points on either side. PS3 just launched, but on the other hand I saw Gears of War the other day, and I gotta admit that it looks absolutely insane.

Where do you guys stand? If you had to choose?

Eventually I think I will get both, but one of them will most likely be 4-5 years from now.

I'm not getting either. If you put a gun to my head, I'd probably buy the 360, but only because my friends have XB consoles...although I don't play the same games they do (Rainbow 6...meh). But, really, I don't care for either one.

Now ask me about the Wii...

My brother is going to get the Wii. Myself i am probably going to get PS3. Once it lowers in price of course. No way im paying $500+ on a system. I will wait a year or so for it to drop thne get it. I just like sony better then microsoft i guess. My personal prefrence.

is it true that they only made like 400,000 units of ps3 in the world. i also heard that there were fights in near my local future shop just to buy one b/c each future shop only gets 6 units in canada!

hmmm this is tough, 600$ for huge ass system, wit extra crap, with not many games anytime soon, and not much of a idea how to do online games...

or a cheaper system that has all that done the right way?

sony says they losing out of $200+ still fo ps3's and hope to make it back over the coming years... hell to that lol they are nuts

360 is the winner here, and yet im only getting a wii, but 360 would be my side project with all my lose change....

I could give you all the reasons why I hate Sony, but it would be a waste of our time. So far I have yet to hear a glimmer of bugs & other absurd glitches from the PS3 yet. However once the dust settles I tell you there might be trouble, looming over the hill. In my own opinion this could be it for the game market, whether it will swing left to the Wii side or the right of PS3 time will tell. Xbox 360 is stuck in the middle. I know you can hit a bench mark by saying I stated to choose, well you’ve got to understand in this world it pays to be cautious (so I say sit back and wait).

heres the order i would get them in :
1-Wii since its a decnt price at the moment
2-PS3 for 2 reasons one is that the graphics are not that impressive yet and im waiting for it to improve and second $500+ HELL NO ill wait a year
3-xbox360 well... im just not too impressed with xbox (graphics are decent tho)

To say that the Wii is not in the running is short sighted IMO. Anyone who's not buying it as their primary console invariably say they want it as a secondary one. If half of people get a PS3 and half get an XBox260 as their primary console, and they all get a Wii as the secondary one, guess who wins? In addition, every single review I have read regarding the Wii has been absolute praise, from people who have never touched a console in their life. I don't think people realize just how big of a market the rest of the non-gaming world is.
