Riddle
Alright, so this problem was given for extra credit in my chemistry class.... but after about an hour of thinking about it ive given up. Can anyone else solve it?
Rachel sauntered into a bank to cash a check from her wonderful job. In handing over the money, the bank teller, by mistake, gave her dollars for cents and cents for dollars. Rachel pocketed the money without looking it over, and spent a nickel on her way home. She then found that she possessed exactly twice the amount of the check. She had no money in her pocket before going to the bank. What was the exact amount of that check? |
