The Orange Box
Well I finished up with the two single player games within the Orange Box. I have to say its one fantastic package that Valve has put out. Everything seems to be top notch, with the time and effort that went into these games.
Half Life 2: Episode 2: I think it’s probably the best part of the episodic trilogy of late. It is far more superior to Episode 1. A good amount of questions seem to be hanging out there, at the end of the game. I still enjoyed the experience of it to the bitter end. Which is why I won’t be delving into the story itself, it tends to spoil things. It just has me on edge till Episode 3 eventually rolls out.
Portal: Surprisingly interesting and intriguing. Even though it was a bit on the short side (the length to me was fine) it carried a charismatic plot. There is something which happens at the very end that I wish GW would do with their antagonists, every once in awhile (not just the mind games either).
Team Fortress 2: The style is amazing it takes me back to when I played games like NOLF, but with the class twist to it. It seems to be well balanced out for now. Nevertheless the only complaint I would have is the short supply of the maps. However with user content out there and new maps being installed by the development team, I can see this opinion eventually changing.

Lol, yes it is. Also the Companion Cube does not speak, so it's better to let it go. Have to admit the writing was really ingenious for that game (dig the end song as well).

The puzzle game seems very interesting. I mean, FPS versions of puzzles? That's new!

I give you two free games and what do I hear? Moaning and bitching.......typical really.
Edit: And to keep it on topic Portal is brilliant, though I'm stuck on 18 and I still hate the vehicle parts of HL2. Haven't tried TF2, mainly because I iz teh suck in online FPS's.

Personally I think Portal is the best game in the package. I don't remember the last time a game made me laugh as much as portal did, and solving the puzzles was quite satisfying. Too bad it was so short and most of the training puzzles kinda easy. Can't wait for an expansion or user made content. Episode 2 was good, but Portal was uber kicka** especially the ending.

Yeah my first time thru I tried to break the glass tube, but it wouldn't break. That was cuz I opened the portal to the SIDE of the tube and for some reason if the rocket hits the side it won't break. So in the end, like a million others, I used a chair to jump up to the vent . Then I went thru in commentary mode and found out you are SUPPOSED to be able to break the glass. Then I realized I should have hit the glass with the rocket from BELOW
I wonder if anybody has taken "The Cake Is A Lie" as an IGN yet. I would have if I had a free slot heheheh.
edit: never mind just checked. somebody did take it lol
