Hey,

I did not know whether to post in the artist forum as I am not submitting any work (obviously). I'm thinking of learning to draw, now I understand that some people are really just talented; however, is most of it talent or just practice?

I (without wishing to sound cocky) am good at most things I participate in. I am; however, a terrible perfectionist. Too the point that I do find drawing close to impossible. If I practice and practice, it is possible that I can draw nice things, or do you think I just have to be talented? I am also not too creative I don't think. Which is a major part of art; however, I really take a massive interest to drawings and would see it as something I'd like to do. I did for a while, learn to use 3D Studio max, I could model (was not good at texturing), haven't really done that lately. I'd rather draw.

Anyone here that can draw but did not learn through talent?

Draw a grid on a picture you cut out from somewhere and then draw the same size grid on a blank sheet of paper, that way you only have to draw one grid onto the blank paper at a time and end up with a full drawing. Practise like that.
