Wow.... just wow... it's a fictional character, why are you asking for such details? He's a fictional character that the author decided to make gay... thats it, nothing more nothing less.

Crazy religious groups, yes. In general religious people? Nice pigeon holing.
Isn't that what we're accused of doing? A majority of religious people and religions as a whole, condone and approve of homosexuality. While we may never approve of Clergy assaulting younger males, Gay's okay by us, and a vast number of other world religions.

As for Dumbledore being gay; what does it matter? This is a detail that could be left completely unsaid as it adds NOTHING of any substance to the plot of the books. (Mostly because he's a secondary main character, and lastly, his 'love interests' never took place, infact wasn't he killed off already?)

I think she was making a joke about the fan fiction floating around. Hence the "My god at the fan fiction" line. I could be wrong though, and if so then oh well. I personally couldn't care less, his sexual preference doesn't make him less of a badass.
