Should I get a PSP?
Well, I decided I want the new PSP (Slim & lite). I'd just like to hear some opinions on this new psp though, is it worse/better than the old one?
And oh yes, what games do you recommend me getting (EU), and is it still worth it to get one? How's the internet on the PSP?

It's cool because you can watch movies (don't have to buy them) and use it as a mp3 player. The games are not that good, but I'd recommend Loco Roco and Need for speed carbon.. You can log on to any wireless internet, but it's a little slow and you can't use some of the things you can with a computer like MSN and Youtube. The only difference between the old PSP and the new one is that the new one is lighter, smaller and works a little bit faster.

I think if you want a psp, you should buy it for playing the games. Not for mp3, mp4 player. Any 4-30gb mp3/mp4 player (ipod, creative, ms) > psp because they are smaller, and have better battery time.
As for games I would go with zelda, oh wait that's for the ds

I had a hard time choosing between psp or ds in the summer when I was in Japan, in the end I went for the psp because:
- It's new (not much difference in price back then due to promotion)
- Good fighting games both 3D and 2D
- Good graphics (compared to ds)
But really what made the difference was the games, I'm a big gundam game fan, and I would've bought ps3 just for the dynasty warriors: gundam. However, I wanted something portable, and psp has got a good range of gundam title games.
Currently I only have fighting games for my psp as they're less addictive, but I'd really like to try the rpgs and racing games when I get on top of my academic work.

PSP can play all those old ps1 games as well but you need to mess about with the firmware though, and you need to download the emulator as well as the iso files. Look up the interweb for more info on how to do.
@ electrofish, lol im a gundam fan as well, only the really old series though, don't like the new stuff at all. I have a few of those ps1 sd gundam games on the psp memory stick.

Battle Assault's classic I have it emulated on my com though, the save/load thing allows you to not die in survivor mode, I think I still have one saved at 200 something wins or something rediculous.
Edit: I feel bad about hijacking the thread so I've started a new one instead. Apologies to the OP again.

Get a DS, there are far more better games on it. If you want to go old school get a gameboy or Sega's gamegear (if you can find it).
