BWP was a HUGE disappointment IMO. It was hyped so much and I thought it was completely stupid. I'm hoping Cloverfield doesn't turn out like that...

Here's a good review of it Inde. That might help.

The review says it is WAY better then the BWP, not like it at all as you actually learn about the characters.

Judging by the trailers and the previews, this is like 9/11 to the extreme. The special are really nice and this is first monster movie I heard in the 21st century.

I also came across the Slusho website, which is a fictional slushie created by J.J Abrams (the dude that made this film). According to the website, Slusho has a secret ingredient that "came from a giant whale." I was wondering if the Slusho has any connection to the monster in the film or just an inconvenience. But as for sure, this website was marketed with Cloverfield.
Anyway, if it was real, it would be addicting according to the site. Lol! Like a drug!

I doubt I'll be seeing it. When I first heard about it, I was very interested. I really loved the viral marketing done with it - it sucked me in. Then I saw some recent trailers and realized that the whole movie will probably be done in that BWP style. Now I will wait, and likely catch it on DVD or something, if I watch it at all. Depends on the reviews, I guess.

Best monster movie in ages, with the possible exception of The Host.

It is taking me every shred of moral fibre to refrain from reading the storyline and spoilers on Wiki lol.
I was going to see it today, but my Friends had other plans. I'm probably going to see it with my Friends on Monday.

For those who are confused about naming, the film was named silly things like Cheese and Slusho over the course of its marketing to disguise what they were filming in order to keep as much of the plot a secret until release.
That doesn't change the fact that this film was a steaming pile of horse manure.

this movie was absolutely horrendous....the monster looks like a scaled down orga
if done from a military standpoint or from numerous people trying to survive, it might have been saved....following the same unlovable bunch around for 87 minutes was painful
took to long for the monster to actually become involved
after the first 5 mins you already know what happens in the end
just a few thoughts

The theater I was in had mixed reactions. A few people clapped, but there were too many unanswered questions for peoples liking.
I say, go see it as its a great movie, but you may LOVE it, or you may totally dislike it.
Personally I enjoyed it, but the all of the unanswered questions made it a bad sad at the end, almost like an unfinished movie. Regardless GO SEE IT!!!

I personally think that Cloverfied was one of the best thrilling sci-fi films yet.
It got the people's perspective instead of a soldier or someone of that importance. I loved it. I got attached to the characters, made me depressed that the characters were slowly picked off.
It's not Godzilla, it's more like the alien invasion type film.

They mean like the ending, what happened to the characters, did they die? or whatever. Things like that, but like they said; go see it.
