Even though I can't argue because PS3 has had no problems, the updated version of the 360 (post red rings of death) is pretty reliable. I mean I have had mine for six months and have had no problem, and everyone I have talked to has had no problem.

But their suppourt team is aswell as a stunning piece of technology capable of lots of things, a large selection of games (the most on the next-gen series), a perfect cheap online system, a reasonable console price need I go on?

it's not like it's hard to get your 360 fixed. send it in you get it back in a few days, big deal.
i've known many more people who have had trouble with sony over microsoft.

The new generation of consoles are too expensive for me. However, my old ps2 no longer reads discs....so I am kind of screwed.

I could pick up a 360 for £100 (includes 12 games), prob is it doesn't read dics. Guy lost his receipt so he can't get it repaired. How easy would a new disc drive be to install?

the 360 rrod issue is better than it used to be, but still to high. 16% now compared to over 30% that it used to be.

My 360 broke down last week while I was playing Mass Effect. I only have it for like a month or so. It's a very good console, I played ace combat 6 on it as well whice is awesome. But for it to just stop working after such a short time is just lame, really put me off. The bloody game's dvd is still stuck inside the console as well. I sent it out for a repair, will get it back this week.
I might get a PS3 when there're more good games out. Atm the games selection aren't that good.

I can't comment on support, since I've never needed it, PS3 is capable of just as much, if not more. The developers just need to get their heads around developing for cell technology.

The first next gen console to be released has the most games available. Gee, who would have thought?

I don't see what's so bad about the completely free Playstation Network. I'd rather be able to use the network for what it was designed for without having to pay.

PS3 (at least in Australia) is the same price as the 360 elite, and doubles as a blu ray player. Pretty reasonable price, I'd say.

I always find this humorous. It doesn't have many exclusives yet, but it does have plenty of games. Obviously that's not going to draw someone to it who already owns a 360, since most of the games on the PS3 are available for them without having to pay out for a new console, but there are plenty of games available.

^ I know PS3 has plenty of good games and like you said most of them have a 360 version as well. I got the 360 just after the new year because of AC6. I could go out right now and buy PS3 if I want, but there aren't any game on it that I really want to play.
Like I said, I'll get it when something like MGS3 or FF13 comes out.
