More than half of your listed bands suffer from the same affliction. Black Metal in particular is pretty dead, its hard to find anything of artistic merit in that genre. But its not that hard to produce a product that can pander to the taste of its proclaimed fans, hence the success of dross like Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon and Old Man's Child.
I think I'll stop here though, because such discussions always devolve when I become a part of them. Check out all the bands, listen to what you like.

Never noticed anything wrong with Lacuna, though I'm not that into them so that may be why, I just favored her voice a lot, it's pretty. I usually found that most people didn't even know about Lacuna either. And Slipknot shouldn't even be mentioned.. they really honestly suck.. most American bands as such do. And Cradle of Filth is so horrible now too, but I never really liked them from the beginning.

I'll try not to repeat too many of the bands already mentioned, seems kinda pointless although i like a lot of them ^^
so here are some of my suggestions
Amon Amarth
Demonoid
Graveworm
Kalmah
Naglfar
Nile
Norther (eh, first 2 albums are good, 3rd is ok, the later ones are crap ^^ but that's just my opinion)
Opeth
Siebenbürgen
Skyfire
Sportlov (lol)
Yrkoon
you should definitely check out Amon Amarth and Nile, 2 of my personal favorites. Enjoy ^^

I don't think that this is great advice to be honest. There's no other area of music quite as flooded with absolute garbage as the metal genre, as it seems that every other bunch of geeks who've managed to find the lowest note on their guitars think thye have what it takes. Trying to find a decent metal band without a good starting point is like digging through shite. Some of the mainstream stuff is mainstream for a reason.

I'd just like to agree with Opeth and Agalloch.

I would recommend checking a online radio staion or something like that, see what you like the sound of and then find some more from them.
http://www.blackmetalradio.com/index.php
(one there , but there are more out there)
if you specifically want a band i would recommend Windir.
On a completely diferent point if there are any Black Metal guilds out there PM me in game, or if you fancy starting one up.
IGN: Cirith Gorgor - sorry if i have posted that in the wrong place just seemed like a logical thread for such a subject

Try these:
Hollenthon
Arcturus
I know it's all about personal taste, but for me "La Masquerade Infernale" is the best work in genre ever.
