A toast to gary.
A toast to gary gygax. The co-creator of dungeons and dragons and considered the father of all modern roleplaying. If it were not for him i'm sure there would be no GW or WoW and such.
You will be sorely missed my friend. I wish I had the chance to meet you before your passing.
I know this is not about GW but I am sure it was him that helped to influence the minds of the developers that created this game.
To the first and greatest game master. Let you be rolling dice with angels now.

He died? Did'nt think he was that old either. The only news in wisconin today was about Brett Farve retiring.

Memento Mori
I can respect what he got started on one level, and the fact that he helped move the genre to it's current standings, however DnD is sort of a mixed bag.

I read he just worked on some concepts for Nightfall like the link between the crystal desert history in tyria and elona, I didn't know he worked on the others.

RIP Gary.
The dungeons and the dragons will always remember you.
And, as he said, dices are only used to make noise behind the GM screen ...

He gave us much!
Most of D&D sucked,- but the systems it since then has inspired were well worth it!
Hope history will remember him as one of the great fathers of fantasy alongside J.R.R.Tolkien!
Been roleplaying (pen&paper) for 18 years now! Never going to stop!

To Gary, the true father of modern gaming, games, and rpgs. Hail the victorious dead *drinks wine* and may he design games in the after life so that when we all get there we will have something to do besides sit around laughing at the next generation dealing with the problems we caused *drinks wine again* (oh wait this is water)

My thanks to Gary Gygax for everything he has done creating Dungeons and Dragons, the greatest roleplaying system I have had the good fortune to partake in.
I am certain he has passed to the Astral Plane, for he was truly a god walking amongst mere mortals.

I got the news today in the morning, and was shocked. I am sad for the loss the RPG/MMO community has suffered.
Rest in Peace Gary.
