Well grams is weight and liters is volume so...you'd have to find out how many liters per gram, or how many grams per liter...?

I think the conversion factor for water at standard temperature is 1000g = 1L
100g x 1L/1000g = .1L
M= Moles/L = .4 moles/.1 L
4M I think...

This is the reason Chemistry sucks and Chem Eng is the way to go^^.

Why do children keep coming here with their homework problems?
I will amuse you this time:
Mass=density/volume
Problem solved seeing as the density of water is defined as 1.0 making 100grams of water 100ml exactly.
Following it through gives you a molarity of 3.96M
Also Chem eng is totally stupid. Chemistry is waaaayyyy better!!! Lots of lovely quantum mechanics and pertubation theory!

No it's not. mass is the product of density and volume.

who cares about quantum mechanics. When you get to do fun things like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and separation processes

He posted a similar thread last week and returned, but he hasn't seemed to have returned yet to look at this, or even post a thank you. Just an fyi.

1L = 1 kg ? then again I may be wrong, I'm a little tired of chemistry... And this time reply to the thread...

That's what I though , but it was to be sure.

Determine the molarity of the saturated KNO3 solution at 25 Celcius.I used a graph to determine that 40 grams of KNO3 can dissolve in 100 grams water at 25 Celcius.

I just noticed that xD, so that means that it's 0.1L right ?
And it seems that Clamchowder already answered the guy xD.

I will give you fluid mechanics and separation processes, but chemistry has statistical thermodynamics, which is better than the regular stuff. And lets be honest, except for wind tunnels and gyroscopes, engineering labs pail in comparison to chem labs.
*also i suppose i shouldn't have answered considering this thread is about to be locked.
