Incredible Hulk
New Hulk movie starring Edward Norton slated to release in theaters this June 13th! The first one was pretty boring, but this one looks like it'll be a more exciting story with the Abomination as the villian! Though I did think Jennifer Connelly was a great Betty (hot stuff). I'm sure Liv Tyler will do great (she's hot too). Enjoy!

I think it is coming out way too soon.
The newer-updated version came out, what? 4 years ago?
And it was not a good movie either.
Now they go and create another Hulk. :/
I'm not going to see it, not wasting my $7.50.

Pay... for a movie?
I only do that for ones I want to see on the big screen, like Hot Fuzz and Transformers.
Everything else is free.
Everything.
First Hulk was pretty bad, they might be able to do better with this one. When's Iron Man coming out? Anyone remember, because I can't

I will admit that while the first Hulk was rather boring at times, I loved some of the action in it. I mean, that's the whole point of a Hulk film, right? I wanna see lots of destruction! I think this will be a good movie; not the best, but pretty good.

For those who don't know Tony Stark "a.k.a. IRON MAN" (Robert Downey Jr.) is supposed to also make an appearance in the Incredible HULK as well as Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).
It's all a tie in for the Avengers Move that is slated for 2010.

They still need to tie up the Galactus arc....will they assemble the Avengers + X-men + FF or is it going to be the cannon Loki/Hulk.
I was SO gutted when Symbiont Spidey was introduced...Secret Wars is one of my favorite arcs ever, right beside the first Infinity Gauntlet one.
on the scale of things (and this is twisted) the Marvel Hollywood chapter is only just beginning.
On another note...Cap America is a bit....kitsch...no? Whats more in the current context is the character not a bit...off?
Because if they try to give him comedic value its NOT going to work (im looking at you Batman 2 -> uh.. -.-) I mean the guy is bizarre even within the Marvelverse.

ummm....you guys do know this isn't a remake right?....its a sequel. They just decided to get a new cast and a new director. I do wish they would have kept Jennifer Connlley ...she is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay hotter and a much better actress than Liv Tyler.

Sequel? I remember reading on MovieWeb or ComingSoon that this new Hulk movie doesn't want anything to do with the other movie. Keep this new movie as a separate entity of its own. Anyway, I thought should've kept Eric Bana as Bruce, he looks more perfect for the role than Edward Norton although Edward is a good actor himself.

yeah its being billed as a sequel on everything that I have read on it. They don't directly say it, but they mention "the continuing story of Bruce Banner's search for a cure, and General Ross continuing and relentless hunt for The Hulk."

I don't care what it is...
I'd rather see some movie that is original... not a remake or sequal that no one at school is talking about.
I'm not a guy-ish guy. I don't really care that much about comic book movies; although I really enjoyed SpiderMan 1-3.

That Hulk remake was terrible, this one looks a little good , but the actor playing the hulk seems a little out of place, I like that actors that played in it last time, just not the storyline. I liek the idea of the other hulk, no remembering the name.

there where several variations of the Hulk,
There was Savage Hulk - Green Hulk - Super Human Strength and healing ability, Smash first, smash second, smash some more.
Mr. Fixit - Gray Hulk - Greater ability to reason, Average Human Intellect Super Human Strength (not as strong as Green Hulk) and healing..Smash first, then maybe ask questions later.
Professor Hulk - Green - The Professor has Banner's genius intellect, the Savage Hulk's strengh, and the Gray Hulk impetus. The only thing that limits the Professor is Banner's analytical behavior.

carting to teens for comic movies is the worst thing they could do.
Its to the people that were about when comics were relegated to "geeks" that they should think about.
HULK is NOT (just) about "HULK SMASH!!!!" theres FAR more to him than that, the Marvelverse (and Comicdom in general) is NOT about "pew pew lasers" coming out of people eyes and chicks fighting in bathing suits.
sure its the initial impression that it gives and its reaching out the that child desire to be that special, all powerful entity no question about it. But its also a refection and a critique on society and its issues at the time.
Its an incredibly rich medium that has a lot more going for it than gaudy colours and testosterone pumped super soldiers.
Makes me laugh when kids come out and say stuff like "Hulk sucked no one in my school has seen it, Transformers was way cool"
You CANT compare the two. HULK is one of the better written comic movies ever written, saying otherwise is simply an insult to the artform.

Chances are if you did not understand the plot to "The Hulk" you never read the comic books. In fact I would go as far as saying that the cinematography in "The Hulk" was probably the best I have ever seen in any comic book movie. It was a living comic book.

I did really enjoy that aspect of the movie; how they made it, as you say, "a living comic book". I was watching the special features and Ang Lee admitted that he wanted to put more of the hulk in the movie but was already over budget on it, leaving more drawn out parts with Banner. I think that's what ultimately did it in for the movie and many viewers. It was just too drawn out. Plus, I would have loved to see more of the hulk. Another thing was that many people who went to see the first movie was coming from the TV series background and not the comic book one. I can't tell you how many times I heard people comment, "he looks too CG" and "it looks nothing like the TV series (in a negative way)". I always thought the TV series was a little weak because of the lack of power from the Hulk, but they had limited resources back then. While I could really care less about non-comic book fans, they are probably the majority. I did notice in the trailer that they focussed on Banner's eyes when he was changing like they did in the TV series. Maybe that was to help tie in the fans of the TV series (I know his eye's turned green in the comics as well, but it wasn't as noticable in the first movie, IMHO)? As far as being a sequal, I'm unsure. Obviously, in the comics, Banner wasn't made the way he was because his father wanted to experiment on himself (at least I never recalled reading that). He was trying to protect his friend and pushed him into a ditch as a gamma bomb went off in front of him. Anywho, the Hulk in this movie looks more like the comics to me with the messed up hair and furious face. I'm looking forward to this installment.

The original Hulk story always made me chuckle because it was just gamma rays that managed to mutate him.
Darn those pesky gamma rays and their amazing ability to mutate people like clockwork!
At least in the movie they made it more complicated than just that.

The original Hulk was created in the early 60's, people had a particular vision of nuclear energy at the time, so much secrecy and paranoia surrounded it that it was like...magic.
If you ever have a chance to see some of the movies of the late 50's to 60's SF movies and SF literature (Heinlein, P.K.Dick) the way nuclear energy is described is pretty crazy.
Nowdays the original plot as to how the Hulk came into being is just funny, as well as totally unbelievable (even though we can accept a giant green monster with the strength to split the EARTH in 2 with a punch).
However biotechnology retains that mystery to the masses as so...helps us suspend our disbelief for a little while.
In the famous words of Arthur C. Clarke , "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
