Eric was recently assigned a game developed by Majestic Studios titled "Limbo of the Lost." At first glance, this game appears to be your typical point and click adventure again. This time, however, something seemed oddly familiar to him. Eric, being the avid PC gamer that he is, noticed that there were some similiarties between Limbo of the Lost and The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

The first example of this can be seen in the screenshots from Oblivion and Limbo of the Lost below. Notice how everything is placed in exactly the same place and almost all of the textures are identical. In fact, the only real difference is the quality of the texture and overall graphical look. Even the portrait that can be seen under the stairs is exactly the same as the one that can be found in Oblivion. Also, take note of the placement of the rug in the middle of the floor and the placement of the stairways. These similarities lead to many questions. How rampant are situations like this in games that fall under the radar of the typical gaming crowd?

(Oblivion isnt the only game it stole from, they took the mouse cursor from Black and White, and content from several other games has reportedly been stolen too).

Ok, at first I was just going to say those pics were fake because of how cheesy the models are, and that they don't even match the environment... but... I mean... well... WTF?

I'd say sue 'em but it'd probably end up costing Bethesda/Lionhead money in the end... Ugh seriously WTF?

Utterly pathetic. There's a line between 'inspiration' and 'plagerism', it's not exactly a fine line either. It looks as if they not only crossed that line, but drew another one beyond it marked 'Too Stupid'.

I don't see these guys doing to well from this (future job prospects will probably be along the lines: How do we know you won't just copy this other game?)

It definately looked fake to me as well, but astonishingly, the game is released, it is in stores, and these are real in game screenshots.

Someone could always buy it to see for themselves, but I wont be wasting my money lol.

They say they had no idea that they stole the content or that it was the same or something like that, c'mon give us a break. There is a Vampiric Count of Skingrad in Limbo as well? o.O.

For me, these guys have defined a whole new level of stupidity.

Just check out the videos, they're HILARIOUSLY bad

The walking animation is awesome too. He's on the other side of the room in 3 steps. So. Effing. Bad.

The animation is beyond poor. The model designs for the characters are bad, and the plot seems worse.

The voices? Vile, not even attempting to act. Sounds like they grabbed the Tea Boy and a Girl Off The Street and asked them if they'd done any drama classes at school.

Additionally, Tri Synergy will discontinue distribution of Limbo of the Lost in both retail and online outlets.

We have contacted the developer, Majestic, and are anxiously awaiting their response. As soon as we know more on this matter we will issue another statement.
