Dark Knight
Comes out in a few weeks.
From the previews i'm going see it. It doesn't look like a 80% CG type of movie. Looks like good old fashion destruction and violence.
I always love Jack Nicholson version of the joker. Been hearing Heath Ledger version is "mad-crazy-blazing brilliant". Dark and vicious the way the joker was meant to be portray.
Will it be another comic book bust or a classic?
Will you see it?
Best Batman movie so far has been "Batman Returns".(don't flame me)

Never been a Batman fan, but I'm going to see it (once I see Batman Returns ), because it looks amazing. I've heard that Heath Ledger played the Joker very, very well.

Michelle Pfeiffer was a good Catwoman, but the 4 first Batmans were, like the original TV series, kinda childish. Not bad movies, especially as Tim Burton was able to give a creepy atmosphere in the first two (Schumacher was terrible with the next 2, Georges Clooney was kinda cool as Batman but it's not his type .
Batman Begins was much more faithful to the modern comics. And Christopher Nolan (who did Memento) did an astonishing work behind the camera, never has Batman be seen as this sort of tortured vigilante (GG Christian Bale) and Gotham being so dark. And I love Michael Caine as Alfred. And GG to Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman. I remember vividly the prologue part of the movie, where Bruce Wayne looks for these monks, learn the hard way and then find his path. Only to see his master come back at him.
Dark Knight looks as exceptional as Begins, looking forward to seeing a good two-face (Tomy Lee Jones wasn't so good). And Heath Ledger is going to be as good as the memorable Jack Nickolson IMHO, though in a different style. I'm going to read again Frank Miller's Dark Knight cartoon (same guy who did Sin city btw) and I really hope that one day they'll have the balls to release it on the big screen.
Edit: found part of the intro with the training on youtube.
Edit 2: more here.

I hope to see a darker Batman in this movie.

It looks amazing. The first time I say the preview I didn't know it was Heath Ledger, I just thought it was some random actor. A few weeks later someone told me it was him and I didn't believe them. The voice and the look and everything.
It's going to be incredible. Batman is dark. I'm glad to see they've finally figured that out with the movies.

I always loved the old batman cartoon. I remember watching Batman and Robin, and was quite amazed at the fact it was probably the first movie that actually humanized the antagonist.
I think Batman Begins show's how Batman's world is so... human. I mean, his parents were killed by a random act of violence.

Start your own thread HB2 and BM: DK will fill my (sequel) summer with lots of joy. And just to hammer me into oblivion, X-files 2 at the end of August ...

Also, The Hulk, isn't Hulk 2, and shouldn't be associated with that peice of crap "movie" about the Hulk that came out a few years ago.
It's miles ahead of that other piece of junk. But that's what you get when Marvel Studios releases a movie about something they wrote in the first place - something worth watching.
But anyway...

It's going to be epic à la Godfather II from what I've read from some early reviews.

I've prefered the Michael Keaton Batman and Jack Nickleson Joker, but this movie looks interesting and I liked the remake.
BTW, Michael Caine is a great Alford.

Michael Keaton made a great Batman, but his Bruce Wayne wasn't all that great. Clooney made a decent Bruce Wayne, but a lousy Batman. I think Bale is awesome at both. He's got the 'troubled' personality, but not too troubled that he can't make a snide remark or playful jab here and there. That's an aspect Keaton just couldn't bring to life like Bale can or Clooney [kinda] did.
I am a huge fan of the first two Batman's, the Burton masterpieces. Hated the second two, and I am completely in love with the new adaptation. I can't even really compare the new Batman with the old one much in the same way I can't compare Indy with Star Wars - they're excellent in their own individual ways.
That said, I am sooo looking forward to DK. It will be one of the very few movies I actually catch in the theatre.

In the first movie, he really didn't have the time to update it and make it look batty.
