Finally got a working CE key! Got my cape and ring. Still waiting to hear back from Game about my Mammoth code.
I need to add more RAM before I can play properly. I'm hitting 100% CPU usage while playing, anyone else getting this?
Random FPS is still occurring too. I'll go from 50+ to 15, then back up, then back down etc
Demo was going to be my main, but casters are too squishy early on, and one of his destiny quests is bugged, so I can't proceed with him anyway.

I'm getting issues that can only be explained by the appearance of someone in my area, that has a dramatic effect upon game play and FPS. In other words I get lag when another player appears in my general area. It also affects my FPS. Since I'm running a monster of a machine the FPS has little issues but I still get network lag from time to time.
I've also had death by lag happen, where suddenly I'm dead and never saw it coming. This was also due to other people walking up to me in my area and I get lag spiked.

Fastest selling game of all time?
Funcom is proud to announce that Age of Conan is one of the fastest selling PC games of all time. More than 400.000 gamers have entered Hyboria over the last few days, with almost half coming from the North American market. This amazing figure for a PC game shows that the positive pre-order trend has transferred into actual sales, and people from all over the world are now flocking to the most savage, sexy and brutal MMO ever created.
Over the weekend an astounding amount of concurrent gamers were logged on to the game, making Age of Conan one of the busiest MMOs in the western hemisphere. With stock flying out of several retail chains, Funcom expects the number to increase in the days to come. In addition to the many gamers logging in, there was also substantial traffic to the Age of Conan websites, with more than 2,2 million unique visitors during the last ten days.
As a result of the great launch, players and press have been raving about the unique qualities of the game, and the first 20 reviews give Age of Conan an average score above 90%. The first US reviews are also live, with Gamezone.com giving the game an Editor’s Choice Award, a 9.4 of 10 score, while heralding Age of Conan as a “Benchmark MMO”. Sci-Fi.com was also an early mover and gave the game a straight A, stating that “If Robert E. Howard had been a game designer.., this is the Conan he would have invented.”
“The initial sales and reviews are very encouraging, and it’s great to see that so many are enjoying Age of Conan,” said Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas. “This is just the beginning, and we already look forward to massive updates and cool new features. We believe our focus on making Conan unique and groundbreaking is a key reason for the initial success. This is a focus we will keep and reinforce, and players can expect continued quality and innovation as we enter a new era for the game.”

Running maxed at 60 FPS currently.
Turns out what I thought was graphics trouble was just BitDefender virus scan coming on and periodically slowing it down. Changed the schedule for the scan and it's all good.

Cant be m8, unless you are still on tortage
SLI 8800 GT's get around 30 FPS in the most demanding places on highest settings.
Or you might have 4 way SLI / Crossfire ....
Oh, I'm going to copy your character info, it made me lol.

Well, the 60 FPS was in Old Tarantia looking over the river to the noble district... it actually ran smoother there than in Tortage. But eh, maybe that place didn't have many objects in it. I don't get what the big deal with this game's requirements are; it's much, much, much easier to run than Crysis is.

The Apprenticeship Feature

The Apprenticeship Feature
This by far is my favorite feature.
-Your friend just got out of Tortage and is level 20, your level 28 and want to team together? Invite him into your group, right click on his name. There is an option to start an "apprentice" with. To do this you simply,
Right Click Name > Look for Start Apprenticeship > Click on it, your friend must accept the offer.
This bumps their level up to yours!
Note: They don't gain new abilities, but they are now able to fight with you. They gain experience just like you do too! It seems you must be at least 5 levels below the person to be an Apprentice.

This might be the pre-cursor to what GW2 companion system might have. ANet has informed us that something like this will be in the works for GW2 but has not been clear on what or how it will work. After having tried the AoC apprentice system, I must say that this is a very cool feature in Age of Conan. The more I play this game the more I think this is how GW2 will be when it's released. Only time will tell.

Starting to grow somewhat bored already. The game's weak story isn't really holding my attention. Too much time leveling to get to the next main quest, and so I've found myself not having fun.
Eh... will stick with it, for now. Feeling in a sci-fi mood lately, though, and Mass Effect comes out for PC tomorrow. So y'can probably guess what I'll be focusing on soon

Ok,anyone else getting this?Or just know how to fix the damn thing?
After the new patch I keep getting an error message saying "Some Installation files are corrupt. Please download a fresh copy and retry the installation"
Sounds simple enough...but i can't download a fresh copy cos i keep getting that error!Aaargh this is so annoying
BTW,I would ask this on the AoC forums but I can't get in to them for some reason. And a quick look around on a couple of forums says I'm not the only one

Did you create a forum username and password? Your account username/password doesn't work on the forums, you have to go to the account page and create a forum login.
Also, run SimpleConfig.exe and check the verify and repair thing and click ok, it usually fixes corrupt shit.

This is why ANet is stfu'ing about GW2. Now they're gonna say ANet's ripping off AoC : (
Nonetheless, it is indeed very cool to see a similarly implemented system. Expect others to follow.

How does this apprentice system work? Haven't tried it yet tbh.
Is it like, higher levels helping lowbies and the lowbies get most of the experience?

Not entirely sure, but at a glance (which is just enough) it sounds a lot like what ANet was looking to implement in GW2.

Hey Guys,
Got AoC today and justs downloading 4Gigs of the damn game -_-
So I was wondering how the Priest of Mitra compares to Monks in GW. I loved playind Prot Monk in GW, because you had to have a good battlefield awarness. I dont want to be making red bars go up in AoC. So is this a good choice or not?
Also I have been having trouble getting onto the official forum and yes i have created a forum name and password.
Lastly I was wondering what the rules on PvP servers are. I cant seem to find specifics on the homepage.

You shouldnt have to download 4 Gb if you installed the retail client, it should only be 700 meg and a few smaller ones.
Priests in AoC arent healers, they are an offensive class which also heals.
ToS = Lightning Nukes + heals + light armor + some weapons
Bear Shaman = Melee + heals + medium armor + lots of weapons
PoM = Holy Nukes + heals + cloth armor + few weapons
Each class has only two HoT's (heal over times) and an emergency big heal which has a long cooldown. The Idea is that you cast HoT's on yourself and team mates, and in between you get to fight. HoT's from all three Priest Classes stack with one another, but multiple HoTs from the same class will not.
This makes it more appealing to have one of each Priest in high end content, rather then several of the same type. Basically you need one of each priest for uber healing, and using several of the same type will not increase the healing power on your team. One on their own is fairly weak and underpowered, but still balanced enough for solo play and smaller groups.
You will never be just healing in AoC. If you are a priest and you stay back and heal, you are doing it all so very wrong.

Thanks for the reply one more question^^
Can you change your builds as easily as in GW or is it more like Diablo 2
EDIT: One more question lol. Upon reading up on the classes again i am really lost on what to choose. I want to play a defensive character in PvP ie Paragon, Rit Monk style in GW. Which character would be a good choice?
