Goro, although I don't think you could play him till later in the series, he scared me (the big centaur version of Goro was scary to, meeting those guys in a darkened alley is not a good idea).

Play-able chars, I'd have to say Scorpion or Sub Zero. Most annoying was Liu Kang, when i was playing SF2 Umpteenth Edition all I would ever hear in the arcade was "Weodleboodlerumplestiltskinscoobydoo" from Liu Kangs flying kick special

Oh ya Liu Kang's battle cry thing is pretty funny, I laugh every time he says it. He uses it pretty often in Shaolin Monks lol. Makes my day.
