I know. They are notorius escape artists, terrible guard dogs and must never be allowed off a lead lol. I'm not sure if I'd get a purebred husky, I would love a Wolfdog Husky mix. I'd love a Wolfdog German Shepard mix to go with her

My pet would eat most of these little furry pets of yours hehe. 4 foot long Nile Monitor. Wish I had a digital camera, he is so cool. Ever seen a rat torn inside out and splattered all over the glass cage ? Nothing is cooler than that

Got a Siberian Huskie too but he is retarded or something. Just plain untrainable. Gonna have to give him the boot soon.

I used to own a pet store that specialized in exotics. We had a pond display in the front window with gators and crocs. My favorite was a 5 foot long male gator named Bubba. We also had an exhibit with a 6 foot male Nile Monitor named Oscar. We used to get crowds during feeding times.

I knew someone a long time ago who owned Gliders. They are amazing and pretty fun to watch. They make some pretty weird sounds. When we let them out of the cage, zoom, off they go. Climbing up things to get some height and off they go again.

I plan on buying a ferret when I have a large enough place. Maybe a cat too.

I still have yet to get a picture of Ollie... Grrr. He knew I wanted to get a hold of him yesterday so he hid under the dining room table whenever he saw me coming. LoL.

Well, I'm against keeping hybrid domesticated/wild animals as pets, because their behavior is unpredictable and it's not their fault. You as the owner may understand that, but given the Husky's already independent nature, if your little escape artist makes his or her way outside unbeknownst to you, there could be trouble.

Mixing with shepherds seems to produce largely favorable results although individual pups may exhibit extreme territorialism and aggression.

And while I may not approve of wolf/dog breeding efforts I hope you get the pet that makes you happy. I never wanted a Husky per se, but when she and I met, there was just something about her and I loved her from then on. She follows me everywhere and does the most amazing things to get my attention, and is so loving and loyal... so it's worth the anxiety and frustration for me.

It was an adventure trying to caputre him.

I taunted them both out with cat treats, then soon as they finished eating, retreated to the dinning room and mocked me.

Was trying to get a hold of Ollie, but the damn chicken cat made sure he would stay out of my reach under the tables. Hes a super big frady cat. Jumps at everything, never EVER lets anyone touch him or even get close until they have been around a TON of times. You even look at him, take one step, BAM, hes gone like the wind. But hes so cute.

Looks like Stanely there, but a little fluffier and different face.

Stanely always looks angrey, hes a little warrior if you bother him too much. Won't back down if you tease him, he'll just attack whatever it is. LoL. Ollie? He looks at it, then runs his rear off.

I have a movie clip somewhere posted before with Stan, and a couple more pictures of him.

Well, I steer from the purebreds to try and avoid as many breed problems as possible. It's just that simple.
I've seen lots of websites about Wolfdogs and they look like incredible animals but of course, children and safety etc.
A Husky/Malamute or Husky/Akita or even Shepard cross would suit me

I'm just that shallow I adore the wolf look. I know you cannot insure them, and also getting one from America would mean 6 months quarentine (i.e. puppy stage go bye bye) But I bet I'll see a dog when I go looking and fall in love whatever it is

Yup, that's usually how it works.

Like I said, I wouldn't have chosen a Husky--I say this as I think about how I am pulling out chunks of her hair after brushing her for hours as she will not stop shedding, and how I had to buy a $400 vaccuum cleaner to keep up with the floors (Dyson is the ownz0r)--but so it goes. Oh, and a Husky/Akita or Malamute/Akita (for a bigger dog) would be soooo lovely... especially if you get a brindle Japanese Akita for the leggy look... there's your wolf right there but with a lot more stability in domestic personality. Although they're still more territorial than Shepherd mixes, I can't help myself, I like the look a lot too!

To the lengthy list I posted earlier there are now 3 more additions. My Dachshund had 3 babies about 2 hours ago, so add 3 more wiener dogs to the mix. The first one was a problem birth and I had to help her with the delivery, the rest she did on her own. Two girls and a boy.
