LOL me too! My wife and I used to play it together before we hitched, and over the years, we'd re-install and play for a while again and again. I actually installed it on my laptop a couple of months ago for another go, and uninstalled a couple of weeks later. Now, this announcement of D3 has got us all pumped, as it has countless of other Diablo fans.

Diablo is easily one of the best video game series ever.

P.S. I've been lurking around the official D3 forums, and I've found something really interesting. It seems as though most of the Diablo fans are also WoW haters, despite favoring Blizzard overall. I get that same kinda feel over here at Guru - the general GWG poster [who has also played the big Blizzard games] enjoys Diablo and Starcraft, but dismisses WoW. Just an interesting tidbit I've noticed.

Same here. I like Dungeon Runners, GW, Diablo, Warhammer 40k RTS games... But when I got trial, I was bored after 3 hours. On the 3rd day I uninstalled it. Probably something about:

- Graphics.
- Interface.
- Boring killing of the monsters.
- You either die instantly or don't die at all when fighting.
- Neither funny, scary or.. anything. Kinda dull atmosphere.

EDIT: Can someone explain to me about this?

Will it be an open area like WoW, or closed with Portals like GW?

Will there be servers like WoW, FlyFF, GW, etc.?

Or will it be like CSS where you just join a game?

What does this Battle.net mean!?1

Unless you like exploring new areas and doing repetitive quests, WoW isn't that fun until end game content. Although screwing around in PvP can be fun sometimes.

Thats my main problem with the game, that and they made a game that had a great story and didnt incorporate the story into the quests at all.

Warcraft lore is awesome. Lots of quest lines have Warcraft lore in them. It still doesn't really make up for the repetitiveness of them.

no it happens when you leave/join games too fast. It's bnet's way of tryign to tame spam bots that leave/join games. Yeah its annoying, but meh...

Yep. The best way to avoid is wait at least 30 seconds between joins and leaves.

PS: Need 2 Jah runes, anyone that wants to give me their forge for rushes will make me happy (NM, not Hell yet. A4-5 still give my single-tree sorc trouble, though I can rush you TO the Hell forge).

yeah we wont get into how much of a pain in the ass the forgemaster is when hes cold/fire immune.....

I really need to finish my hammerdin's gear so i can build it and not have to worry about shit like that.

I tried playing Diablo II a few days ago, the resolution and visuals made my eyes hurt pretty bad. I played THQ's Diablo rip off, Titan Quest- now that game isn't too bad. Its like Diablo 2.5, minor improvements same formula and better graphics. If anyone here is trying to relive Diablo II, and finding themselves not satisfied simply because the game is too old I'd suggest trying Titan Quest.

Same thing happened to me when I went back to play Starcraft, decided to try a quick skirmish- No difficulty setting for the CPU, lulz.
