Actually, no. It's faster to look for it, because your brain reacts quicker to what you see. Listening for it is just a myth.

Or you can just wait for a storm, then see what's faster - sound or light. I suggest turn your speakers down and just watch the first line. Oh, and if you are wearing glasses (regardless what the reason is), take them off. And anything that might distract you. Also, don't try to watch TOO carefully. It doesn't matter if you keep saying ,,Faster, damn it, faster'', because you might miss sheep in the last row - she's usually hidden behind other sheeps and likes to come out fast.

EDIT: I get 0.110-0.120s if I purely twitch, 0.180s if I respond to seeing the sheep. Roll a die to determine the ratio of those in my attempts.
