Hey, did anyone hear about this game coming out called Darkfall Online? It sounds pretty awesome, and its got everything in it I originally wanted in Guild Wars. Its very PvP friendly with alot of focus on PvE too. There aren't any safe zones in the game, just well protected cities. The game focuses mainly around raiding other races and engaging in guild and race wars. It also has a large quest and hunting element and economic elements you PvE guys will like.

It has a very dynamic character creation system. You know how most games promise you can play as a healing ranger or fire warrior and still be effective, but its never true? Apparently you really can in it, with no solid classes, you can pick several of the skill branches and work from there.

You know how Factions promised you could take and control areas, fight other guilds for territories? In this you can build your own cities, go to war and totally raise an enemy town. There's also an alignment system like in the Star Wars games. If you start "PKing" other players or breaking laws, guards from that area will see you as hostile and hunt you down.

You can build castles and houses out in the wilderness and stuff, too. All the pve trader stuff is in it, and apparently they're really trying to make crafted items useful. And, if you think collecting materials is grinding, you can hire NPCs to do all of it for you, and guards to protect the NPCs.

Not to mention cool stuff like realistic calvary battles, naval battles, artillery, etc. Oh yeah, and the combat is going to be styled sort of like Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion. And its going to have some cool physics in it.

Everything I ever wanted in a game. Its going to be awesome. Its in Internal Beta right now and soon they're going to start letting whole clans in. Then they'll let individual closed betas, leading up to a fully open one.

I was into this about 2 years ago but it seems to be going far too slow. It is very cool from the plans though. I was even registered with their forum. I guess I will wait until it is out to buy it but I will think about helping in the beta.

They've been saying this for 2 years, that's what turned me off to it.
