My favourite modern FPS is TF2. My all-time favourite is still Perfect Dark.

CSS because of its versatility, since there is not only normal CSS

there is also:

*zombie
*surf
*climb
*gun game
*and my favorite, deathrun
*and more...

Doom 1-2 + Final doom, Heretic-Hexen 1-2, Duke Nukem, Shadow Warrior, BLOOD especially, Half-Life, Perfect Dark, Unreal...

Newer ones: meh, the standards, really. HL2, CS;S, TF2, FEAR...etc.

Coded Arms, Coded Arms: Contagion, Resistance, HL2, and Oblivion (if you let me count that as a FPS...and if not I'll slap you with a trout!).

Quake 2 was pretty awesome, but never played the others....not much of a first shooter guy.

Ahh, a man after my own heart. All awesome games (though I never played Perfect Dark). I recall many a lan party centered around Hexen 2 and Duke Nukem 3D. Good times.

One of my favorite all-time FPS has to be Turok 2. Not just for the PvP, either. The AI in that game was actually pretty awesome back in the day, better than Goldeneye, IMO. The weapons were just the best - a rocket that seeked out brainwaves, then when locked-on, proceeded to attach itself to the enemy's head and bore into its skull, spilling grey matter onto the ground, then exploding, taking their head with it. Oh yeah, I want more of that!

Half-Life 2, TF2, Frontlines, COD4, F.E.A.R (only for the single player and only past midnight in a dark room. Good stuff) all time is BF2142. 64 man Suez Canal Titan battles were just brutal.
