US removes North Korea off 'state sponsor of terror' list

Finally, Bush did something right. I'm sure it will be followed up soon by another disaster on his part though knowing ol' Georgie!

lol, that's funny.
Anyway, once McCain gets in, there's a huge chance that, in his advanced age, he won't be around for much longer, and Palin will get the big promotion. (Fingers crossed, as one can only hope. ) Creationism becoming a staple of public schooling and an interpretator of the bible in the most conservative, practical and literal sense, will be governing our society.
I can see it now, and I can barely contain my excitement!

North Korean is the worst form of communism right now.
But may I add, my family is Polish. My mother and father both were raised in communism and now live in the states.
They said it wasn't bad, and western propoganda just brainwashes us into thinking communism is that bad.
Everyone had jobs, food, homes. Education was really good, and the west just makes communism seem like everyone is a slave to the system. While some may argue the whole 'everyone needs a job' thing is true to that point, my parents and other relatives had good times with their family. Music, recreation, horse back riding, sports, and yearly vacations that were VERY affordable were present in their communist state of Poland. Poland was a laid back communist state, but still.
When some say communism doesn't have freedom like we do, my mother gets a bit upset and calls that bullsh*t. At least then you had virtually no crime, and my father, who moved to the states when he was 14 and entered the US army reserves, said as long as you didn't attract idiotic attention to yourself, guards never had a confrontation with you.
And the whole 'pick your job out of a hat' thing didn't really happen to everyone. My grandfather wanted to become a pilot, and so through aspiring to go through aviation education, he became what he wanted, and made a little more money than your average communist neighbors.
They had a nice home, loving family, pets, recreation, hobbies, schools... the list goes on. And they were able to travel to the US a few times, too.
Western hypocrisy just doesn't understand how communist life was. As my father (who has a very American accent by now, and Americanized virtually but still retains his strong Polish roots), told me:
"Only those who never experienced communism thought you were tied up to a ball and chain and thought it was the worst thing ever, that's all just lies."
I feel like I should have posted this 20 years ago if I were able to.

Cool beans. I had Polish relatives too, before they died. Funny though, they said Communism was shit.
Parallel universe? Alternate dimensions? Who was brainwashed, and who wasn't? SO MANY QUESTIONS, SO FEW ANSWERS, ARRRRGGGHHHH.

My mother and father suffered through Communism. You DIDN'T have food. That is, you could have, but just enough for a 3 person family.
Hobbies? Haha, collecting rocks I assume. Pets? Well, sure, but if your pet was sick, there were no vets. TRAVELING to US? How? Maybe they were in the Communist party if they could live so well. After 1981, you couldn't travel ANYWHERE, because every time you tried, Communists would halt your documents for any reason. And you were lucky if it was just a small fine, they could just as well put you in jail.

Of course he was doing fine.
Because to get important job (piloting), all that horseback riding and whatnot you had to join party and/or ruin other peoples lives (report neighbour and such), and have history of family members doing same.
Job out of hat were RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing really, really REAL. Knowing teacher that teached in 80s: They did get list of how many X in occupation Y is needed and had to assign kids to that, which had no choce but to educate themselves in it and eventually get to work. If kid was too smart for picked occupation, it was supposed to be nuked.
Nuked means that it was forced to go down to level of more stupid ones: by making it (and eveyone around) let belieive it was just nother stupid kid (bad grades regardless of results, teacher-to-parents talk on how slow he is, etc.).
My bother was, for example, assigned job of being average dumb farmer. he was damn lucky that revolution happened as he got out of school and he could enter university (and now be in board of some 10th largest company in my country) instead of spending rest of life moving shit around as he was supposed to.
So GTFO with your "communisn was not that bad" because it was and you hear otherwise because your family were RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing commies.
Jezus.
(Abedeus: actually, vets were around during commie ages, because farm animals required then, you just had know where to look for one that will treat pet.)

well who doesn't want a religious fanatic running our country and making more enemies with friends, not moving forward with energy, and above all, is a hockey mom who abuses her powers and, above all, loves to go hunting to further piss off animal right agencies?
Im pretty close to the canadian border, i could just move to toronto if Palin becomes president (mccain is losin the fire)
