I am afraid to say it. If obama ends up putting higher taxes on wealthy people he is risking more than his political carreer. He is risking the party.
The man with the Golden Tongue will get elected cause he looks good and he talks a good talk but he does not answer the with the truth.
He will most likely have the ability ot change the Highest courts in the country to MARXism How, by appointing his people to the Supreme Court when others reire or pass away. Bush in his turms appointed less people to the court than any other president in history and the Next Pres will get to appoint the most. Experts say that could be as high as 6 with 3 coming within the first 2 years of his turm.
The spreading of wealth by taxing the rich is NOT the job of the PRESIDENT. This is the MARXIST point of view that leads to SOCIALISM or COMMUNISM. People wake up.
Marx believed that the "Revolution" needed to come from the Peasants to take over the establishment and then spread the wealth. But Obama sees it as his duty to try and do this from the top. The SH*T runs Down hill in his case.
If they want to fix something then I suggest that they regulate these companies that got us into this mess cause of BILLY's administration was all about kick backs and letting the big boys run unchecked.
Unchecked is not good and not a founding father's way of life. The fathers of this nation set up a 3 step system to keep each other in balance, Pre, Law and Congres.
It is unbalanced right now that the Courts are MAKING LAWS. This is not to be. The Congress makes the laws and passes them and then the Pres signs them and the Courts UP-Holds them.
The Courts should not be changing the laws in case something seems unclear. Like Partial Birth Abortions. Do people know what this is or seen this in video's? It is Crazy. We stuff the kid - fully formed - back in and pull its feet out Breaking its shoulders and legs in the process - Like it feels no pain and is not a Person??????? and then and only then when the feet are already out.. WE CHock the living sh*t out of it and strangle it to death as it squirms and you can hear the buggers scream.
Lovely. This Golden tongue Obama is all for this. Slaughter them when they are young and call it Justice. Murder them and call it justified. This is what you are voting for. Death and destruction.
While your at it, just let the world fight amongst them selves and kill themselves off right. This is sad. What does it mean to be American? I guess it means that we and by that I mean ALL of US cause YOU LIBERAL S.O.B's LET IT HAPPEN as killers of BABBIES.
Reminds me of the King who slaughtered all other boys in Israel so many years ago just to try and kill the one named Jesus. This is FACT people not myth or some story. It is SECULAR history written my the ROMANs.
What have we learned in 2000 years? What next if we can slaughter our children? Did you know that we are the ONLY society in the history of the world to ever kill a child in this manner? Sick.
So your right. Jump to your feel on Tuesday. Get out there and vote for OBAMA and count us all as slaughters of children.

Sucks to be rich I guess. Maybe about now they should learn not to pick up the soap if it drops in the shower. At least they have until April 15th to sell off enough stuff to pay for taxes. I wish them luck in getting things turned around.

He should have risked the party when he fought for months to keep Florida's and Michigan's votes from counting. The fact that one is a swing state and the other is voting for Obama just goes to show how stupid and uninformed the average voter is. Maybe John Stossel is right and uninformed people shouldn't be voting.
Then there's that ACORN thing and Ohio letting 200K suspecious ballots stay valid. Mark my words, if Obama wins it's going to be by crook and not hook.

The far extremes of this country care little for what the Framers felt. Obama and the people who he really repersents are one of the extremes.

Partial-birth abortion is still around because feminism demands abortion on demand and that's one of the few issues that the democrats don't follow the polls on. I do find a certain sense of irony in the situation though. The party that once supported slavery and eugenics is now boasting of it's care for human rights when being up to the same old tricks. I mean if 5,000 troops die in a war, let's send our president to jail; if 1 million americans die every year to abortion in some form or another, let's have a march so another million can die next year.
You mentioned the court, that's one reason why Obama has some supporters even if they don't like him personally. They want the court to be more leftist and have a complete sweep of all three branches of federal government.

I don't think any of the Obama supporters know why people are voting McCain this election, so I'm going to spell it out. I think the polls are showing Obama to have a greater lead than it will turn out on election day. I don't have proof of this but I assume there is an amount of mistrust that is leading people to lie about who they are voting for. People don't trust that the media speaks the truth on important issues. Ignorance is going to report this as racism, or a fear of electing a black president. But it's easier to predict an Obama lead based on polls or 30 min presidential debates between Obama and himself with no moderator. . This is making people have doubts over their candidate choices and pressuring them to vote Obama (you can even see this with how the Republican party appears more fragmented than the Democratic one this election also.)
Emotion comes before logic. People are voting for the policies they emotionally relate to and justifying it afterwards. The prevailing emotion behind support of McCain is fear of being helpless (aka fear of being ruled by King). This is not a race issue, proof shows that blacks object to being under white rule in a similar manner. Maybe this underlies Obama's belief system, the view that small government allowed whites to come to power and then subject blacks to slavery. So he would have a view of a war between social class, rich keeping the poor down. He would view government as the mediator in this crisis, the government needs to take more from the strength of the rich and aid the poor. I would even say not to accuse black people of racism for voting Obama because the violation of trust was recent enough. It isn't necessarily an evil view, but it may be the wrong one. Abraham Lincoln proved easily enough how powerful the government could be at shutting down other oppressors; and we've let the government get bigger.
We depend enough currently on social programs: protection, education, transportation, and medical services. These were initiated and are funded by the government. We just had to ask for the government to bail out our banks. While we discuss needing more help dealing with the economy, we are looking at a government who's most distinct policy changes over the last few years were to increase the function of military. There's also something called welfare; to try to put it simply, welfare is designed to help the people who haven't been able to work through a situation where a ruler is no longer in power. It's similar to the relationship a child has to a parent, they are just not ready to do it on their own at this time.
The U.S. is a huge country, Karl Marx said himself that socialism is a transition towards communism when he described a country that couldn't even approach this population. The size of the U.S. limits us to either the choice of a woefully inadequate government or one of massive power. Literally, you may think you have other choices, but you can either be an independent adult or the child of your government. This is around the time Obama swooped in and tried to rest all our fears that Wall Street bullies would rule us and the government would save us all. You may think this is doing you a favor, but this is taking away from your ability to take care of yourselves. As Americans we are expected to say: we don't need help from kings, we can do it ourselves. But if we aren't ready for that, we should try to never ask for more than we 'need'.

Fears of oppression are even behind a vote for Obama. You have the last few years to thank for waking them up. They are there for a reason, because you may see Bush's actions as resembling dictatorships or you recognize that the country is falling apart. People are just outright doing what they think needs to be done and there's no convincing them otherwise.
I won't pretend that there is policy or logic behind any of the reasoning of anyone; but I will point out that my vote will be the decision that best addresses how I intend to deal with my fears.

His presidency is too difficult to grasp right now. I have to start on one basic premise: I have not seen evidence that 9-11 was a false flag attack that was initiated by Bush himself. I wondered whether appropriate action was taken by him, as was seen from his reaction to the gulf hurricanes this last year (overreacting as a response by Katrina). He has a trend of overreacting following underreactions, most likely caused by his inexperience. He is the most openly mocked president in recent years based on his perceived weaknesses, and was in an impossible situation in protecting the country from intimidation.
I have not seen any of our recent candidates (Gore, Kerry, Clinton) as being qualified for dealing with the problems of the last year, so I see it as a doomed presidency. I have had this problem every election between picking between the lesser of two unqualified candidates, but I believe that the last 8 years was marked by the overwhelming crisis of dealing with hatred. There is absolutely enough hatred involved in these conflicts to have escalated into a larger scale war at some time. It's too hard to determine if worse scale death was prevented, when so many are tyring to claim Bush has caused it all. As someone who drove by the damage building in the early 90s, I recognize that the World Trade Center had been attacked previously, and I use that as my trend in judgment. The U.S. going on the offensive was an immediate response to the country being undercapable at defending itself, which has been worked on agressively.
I realize right now that citizens are being killed in other countries, but I see the other possible alternative as citizens dying in areas with higher population density and more varied backgrounds. Uncharacterized random population death is not taken as seriously as what others would consider ethnic cleansing. My view is that open war with Iraq had been doubtful, since I would have expected them to wage a war as part of an alliance. Furthermore, the view of Iraqi deaths as innocent only came about after American attack, and was ignored under Saddam Hussein rule. For a more open conflict to occur, I would see countries as unwilling to partake on the assumption that both sides would be 100% guilty. In reality, countries recognize the area as a humanitarian crisis, and they offer some support.
But in response to what you could consider as my initial assumption: if people hate Americans as much as it appears, then it is appropriate policy to place trained killers on the doorstep of enemies who would otherwise attack our citizens. All the non-military problems we face now, they need to be dealt with by a man of perceived strength. Someone who can scale back military capabilites without that being considered as another opening for attack. I see that it's necessary to have to scale back the damage done to the reputation of the country immediately: every time someone points out an ongoing genocide, the finger gets pointed back at the U.S. This is counterproductive: pointing fingers does not deny anything.
It's harder to consider the facts when I recognize that people don't really want to see a pro-Bush view. But a better time to judge his presidency would be when all accounts come out (which may never happen).

I don't think Bush was a good president. He's done a few things right such as going after the taliban, staying in Iraq, his judicial appointments, cutting taxes, and banning embryonic stem cell research. But he's done a number of things wrong like Katrina, expanding medicare, forcing corn based biofuels on us, and letting a republican congress spend like democrats before being kicked out by spending too much like democrats.
To a number of conservatives, he's been a bit of a disappointment.

im sorry but I dont blame katrina on him, those morons who stayed got what they deserved, they where TOLD about two weeks before it hit basicly
"Get the f out of there!"
they refused, well some of em did. and it was FEMA! not bush who screwed up
gas is going down now so im happy under 2.30 cents a gallon now
excuse me but he did NOT spend like the dems, if you research, you will find alot of bills signed by bush where PASSED by a major GROUP of DEMOCRATS. the patriot act is one example of something that was NOT pushed by bush
the BAILOUT was the DEMOCRATS idea, because they made it so these morons who could not buy homes could get them and thus the CRASH we have now
but many idiots will blame bush, because well he's an easy target and well not the sharpest tool in the box, but I will say this
doesnt it seem interesting how when someone wins president of the USA they become really stupid and cant speak?
maybe they are at least a little "changed"
but what do I know, im just 22, work at k-mart and have voted only once, and for mccain.
p.s sarah palin is NOT who shes painted to be by the media and crap
look up her bio, she is a smart, driven women.

Good job playing up the conservative unimportant BS.
I think we need to de-troll this thread.
Scaling back tax cuts to help a greater number of Americans (to only pre-Bush levels, only... so little) is NOT MARXISM.
Death penalty kills Americans. Abortion should be a right. It's also something I think is horrible. But as it is not conclusive that the zygote is "alive", it should be allowed. Late-trimester abortions (is that what partial-birth is?) seem to be very bad, probably not something good.

Right then, this one has turned into a train wreck.
I do not know if any amount of cleaning the obvious trash will save it so it is best to just close it.
Feel lucky that this was allowed to continue as long as it had.
