Fallout 3
Alright so it comes out tomorrow, anyone else really want it. I sadly never played the first two but oblivion was great and the E3 footage was amazing, I have it coming from amazon on release date.

I'm not that interested and I don't exactly trust Bethseda to do a good job. I heard that interplay is finally reforming so maybe they'll be able to make a Fallout MMO with the original team.

I actually very disappointed in how Bethesda is going to ruin the whole point of the game. They turned it into a standard Advanced targeting FPS, when before it was a turn based RPG, which made it harder and required someone to actually think.
I was really hoping they would leave the turn based in it like they had in Fallout 1 and 2, but leave it to some game design company to ruin the original theme of a great game series.

TO be honest I love the fallout feel, but am not a fan of turn-based, but I can see how people that played the original might be unhappy. I loved oblivion however so it is a good fit.
(World at War is not by the ppl that did cod4, I would advise renting it first as the other company tends to make average games)

They barely have the technical ability to do a game like morrowind/oblivion. I think if they tried anything new, they'd self-destruct.

Although my avy and sig might suggest otherwise, I'm not a super duper excited about FO3. I'm excited for the new story, but a little worried about the gameplay, with the FPS feel and all.
It's definitely not the old Fallout, but hopefully it hasn't been completely ruined. We'll know in a few days I guess. Or I will anyway.

Fallout 3 is on my list of games that I want. But sadly I bought a new car recently and don't have the cash to blow on random PS3 games anymore
I may see about picking up the old Fallout games on Amazon since I've never played 1 or 2.

From what I've been hearing, the PS3 version looks worse than 360/PC because of some anti-aliasing problems.

Umm.. Fallout 3 = Oblivion.
Not even kidding, everything is the same as Oblivion except different weapons, themes, and the facial expressions are much better.
But honestly, Fallout 3 = Oblivion, play for yourself to see. I was honestly disappointed cause it feels like I'm replaying an old game.. but not. Can it be considered half assed? It's the same engine.

Yes it is just like oblivion and i can fully see how you think that. I loved oblivion and have been loving Fallout 3, Yes it is a little to close to be perfect but I am willing ot look around that, It is like BioShock combined with Oblivion, a good combo, but yes does feel like you have played before.

Yeah that's the feel I got, Bioshock and Oblivion mixed. I didn't like Bioshock at first but it grew on me, and of course Oblivion was good.
Overall it's a good game still, but I've played Oblivion a lot so this concept might get old fast for me.

Exactly how I feel, this game has a more robust storyline and I have not gotten very far, very egar to see how BRohood of Steel work and
*Spoiler*
Blowing up hte town then getting the new estate felt like a movie moment, but thats just me*
i will wait to see if it can impress me with an epic story before I pass judgement.

Fyi, for PS3 users the game has been crashing and not being read a whole lot, It manages to fix itself but it is very annoying, possibly hold out till they patch this.
