If you liked Guild Wars...
Anyone know what other games are out there that are the most similar to guild wars? Atm I am currently bored of GW, but dont play any other games so theres no real options for me. Online, or not. Pay to play or not, I just wanna see what options there are if I were to retire gw till gw2 came out.

ergu tough one i can't really think of many games 'like GW'
I would suggest trying "Guild 2" Its a really good game and i thought i would suggest it simply because of the name xP and because its simply uber.
Errrrrrm Ever played Elder Scrolls? if not then hop to it Morrowind > Oblivion should keep you busy for a few months
Also try the Gothic Trilogy imo just ignore Gothic 1 the graphics are really 2 hard on the eyes and the general gameplay is meh. But the story is worth playing the game. and gothic 3 if u can ignore the odd glitch is a epic game. gothic 2 imo is the best game i have ever played.
Try Fable 1 & 2 both fun but short games worth buying them however imo
if u have a psp Final Fantsy Crisis core is worth it for the soundtrack alone, along with the gameplay graphics and storyline its a must have imo.
Also if you want to try somthing a bit diffrent
the Call of Juraze (spell check) is one of the best 1st person shooters and IS the best western game. For me the story does it i found it very......retro
Thats about it from me.... sorry to hear ur bored of GW gl finding the right game for you

if you want some decent gameplay, graphic(play on the highest option, its like a dream),freedom of movement (jump, swim, fly, ride),creating OWN characters - big, small, crazy head...color of eyes...30 shapes of hair of any color you mix..thousand options, large world map with teritorial wars, dungeons, many many players ...Perfect World International. Its a free game with online cash shop as usualy. Great game, but boring for someone that doesnt like grinding at all ofc since the biggest lvs are 100.
If you dont want mmo but only rpg final fantasy is always a good choice.

PWI (Perfect World International) easily has the best character creation for any MMO. I never got into the game though, just like other MMO's. Quest, Fight Mob, Reward, Quest, Fight Mob, Reward, Level ect...

If you're thinking MMO and looking for ideas, there's lists on ten ton hammer and mmorpg.com
However I'm not bored with GW1 and have plenty more to do over the next few months.
EDIT: Also, there's a little drop-down in the top righthand corner of the page for the rest of the guru network, might give you some ideas

If you are willing to move slightly sideways into the more hack'n'slash genre, the recently released Sacred 2 is worth a look.

I would highly recommend the new Fallout 3. It's single player and has an interesting role playing aspect to it. I've been playing it for the last month. It takes place in the future after a nuclear war has devastated the planet. Great fun and interesting graphics.

Can't think of any that are quite like GW. That's one reason I still play it.
Other online games I just haven't been able to stand the level grinding for long so haven't gone back to them. Perfect World, SW:Galaxies, Wow, LOTR, etc were all nice games, but as said, I couldn't stay into them because I got bored of leveling.
I would agree with Elder Scrolls and Fable. Lots of good single player games out there. There's always the good old Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games. (Sorry, couldn't help but mention that one. <3 ) And if you want to expand from the pc, there are a lot of good console games.

The Diablo games are supposedly similar to GW gameplay wise.
Aion, a new MMO, is coming out in a few months and graphically has a lot of similarities to GW (and is also made by NCSoft).

The Witcher - Enhanced Edition
You wont want to stop playing the game... seriously...
It was so well created the first time around and had such a large following that they went back, redid the entire game, added more content, dialog, quests, fixed a few minor bugs and re-released the game with a huge addition of bonus content apart from the game.
They even offer all of this for free online if you previously purchased the game.
Seriously though, the game is awesome.

Runes of Magic for a free MMORPG once it hits open beta. WoW for one you subscribe to. As far as MMORPGs go these days, anything other than those two in their respective cost ranges is pointless to bother with (I'm laughing so hard at the mention of Perfect World). Every MMORPG game is grindy and/or full of suck, but RoM/WoW usually mongle the manstick less than the rest.
Outside of MMORPGs there are plenty of single player games to try, just hit up IGN or something and check their ratings, read reviews, whatever. Morrowind is fantastic and would keep you busy for many long hours if you're into that. The Witcher EE is great if you don't mind the combat mechanics (I personally like them). Fable games are short and full of shitty writing but are good plays the first time through or so.
And then there is Team Fortress 2. Nothing like what you are asking about, but damn it all the game is great and deserves a mention anyway because it's sack droppingly AWESOME.
