The Smoke Detectors in the newer part of my house is hardwired into its own circuit in the breaker box so it runs off of the house power and can be shut off at will from the breaker box itself. No need for batteries.

I brought up the smoke detector as mine decided last night was a good time for it to test itself---or whatever it felt it was doing since there was no smoke, heat, fire......its very old.....

and now the village wants to come to my condo and inspect my (get this) heat detector...yep what a stupid invention...yes it is warm and guess what? I live on the 3rd floor and the dumb thing is on yes the ceiling, right next to ---the hall way light...so yeah it does get pretty dang warm up there seeing as my condo gets into the 80's when its only 60 outside.....yes people think I am strange having my ac on when the snow has yet to completely melt---but its either that or my computers will!!!

not a happy rodent today.

Today was goood. Spent most of the day in town with my friend, bought a dress and another Daft Punk CD.
We also walked around town trying to find WiFi hot spots. lawl

Hi Grim! Sorry I was in bed already because I have to get up early and I have long days since I usually work for 8 hours then come home and work for another 2-3 hours on yardwork. Speaking of work... guess I am off.

Smoke detectors wired to the house... ya I would need a shut off at my circuit box. Otherwise I would not be a happy camper. And cosy, that is a stupid place to have a heat detector. oO

I don't understand how you can do it, pwnd. I have to get up at 6 am for work, and it's about to kill me. I totally understand what you mean about going to bed before 10 pm though. Sometimes it's a necessity, regardless of how old it makes me feel.

coffee does not do what its supposed to do for me---it just makes me need to pee.....it doesnt wake me up at all (actually I can drink it before I go to sleep even without any problems other than the one already mentioned--).

I have tried going to bed at 10pm....if I do at about 11pm I am wide awake so I give up and get up and watch some tv or play gw.....I have tried 11pm, 12am, 1am and 2am with the same results...somewhere about 3am f I go to bed I can actually stay asleep for more than about an hour...and if I wait until 5am I wont even roll over for hours! (and I dont even hear my husband getting up and making enough noise to wake the almost dead).
Not sure what time zone my sleeping pattern is on but I have never been a morning person and guess I never will be....morning is over rated anyways.

Ya it sucks but you get used to it after a while... which sucks...

So today dragged, didn't really do too much... was pretty dang bored. And then I got home to a letter saying that they were denying my advancement because I had not finished a course. The letter was dated May 30th. I was finished the 27th with the course. >< But they still didn't allow me to advance so I got dropped from a 300 level class that I needed to take... So now I am even further behind thanks to the dumbarses in the education departement. And my advisor, the><><><><><><><><>< So pissed...

pwnd contact the advisor and tell him about the letter you got and ask him to look into it seeing as he said you would advance----if that doesnt work go to the dean there is no reason why if you finished they should not let you move on (though of course you are attending one of those schools that just likes kids to stay for more than 5 years for the money-----) and it would have been nice if the dumb advisor had put that in writing --you could have just sent that to the committee instead!!!
dont give up! (really sometimes they like to play these games to see who will play and who wont).....good luck!!

think its nap time---too hot to do anything else but lie in front of the fan and enjoy the almost cool breeze (my ac is pretty useless but it does de-humidify so thats a plus)......
