It isn't Global Warming anymore, It's "Global CLIMATE CHANGE" and the only thing that is 100% definite is that it is completely the fault of humans, and we have to cut all emissions of everything by 5 trillion% in order to not have the entire world explode in the next 50 years.
CO2, of course is the prime culprit, even though it is 00.5% as effective a greenhouse gas as water vapor.

But no worries, Obama is President now. He'll fix everything with his Messianic powers.

What is not included in the breakdown are specifics, which are known. Some parts are rather dumb, I agree. Some parts are very good, and most certainly needed.

Obama is at the very least, being transparent. That is a GOOD THING. I may not agree with all the spending, but at least give him credit for being transparent and explaining the spending publicly.

On that note... since we are all condemning a stimulus package that has yet to take effect, and that we do not know the outcome of... let's all come up with better ideas.

Well, I got nothing... moving on. Before you cast stones at Obama and his administration for doing this, come up with your own genius plan that will get us out of the shit pit we are currently in. Hypocrisy is fun in practice, but a bitch to face...

Um I like the Bush comment that it is Bush's fault regarding the mess we are in. In actual fact is was CLINTON. Remember, the one who had his WILLY Sucked on in the Oval Office? That is democratic thinking for you at its best.

It was also Clinton that DEREGULATED the Housing market opening the way for Freddie and Fanny. Clinton said that only 40% of all Americans owned their homes and wanted another 30% home ownership.

Fast Forward to 2008 in Jan and you will find that 72% of Americans working Full Time owned their homes. Clinton's succeeded but at what cost and how did they accomplish this?

By telling the financial markets that the average working Joe needed No Money down cause they could use the "Equity" in the home to purchase the home should have been the first red flag to be waved. How can a house increase 10% in value in 3 years or more? Freddie and Fannie said it did...so it did and real money was lent to people to purchase 600,000.00 homes that only made minimum wage. Worse than this they were OK'd for an ARM or Adjustable Rate Mortgage.

People would simply pay on the interest and not on the principal cause they could sell their homes in 4.5 years cause their interest rates would change in 5 years and thus be set free from the burden of 23% interest and payments that would increase 3 fold.

So what happened? The market reached its breaking point where people could not sell their homes before the interest rate changed. POOF get this 30% of the people who own a home are in trouble and can not longer afford the home that they are in.

Are you people DAFT? The people that went Bankrupt should be on the street. The people at Freddie and Fannie AND GM MORTGAGE should be in Jail for FRAUD. The homes that are in the market for Bankruptcy should be BURNED DOWN cause there are now too many homes on the market causing the prices to fall even more.

The stocks for banks and such should have a FREEZE on them. In other words the trading should stop in 2 weeks notice. ALL Speculators should leave the markets.. um this is how oil got to 150 bucks a barrel. ANYONE REMEMBER THIS?

My my personal grievance. I am a Canadian living in the US. My wife is AMERICAN. We live in a house appraised at 42,000.00 and we owe around 26,000 on our mortgage. We have our rate at 4.5% for 10 years and the house is paid off cause we just refinanced with these great rates.

The house was once a cottage that was converted for winter by putting a furnace in and insulating the attic. The house has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. The kitchen is very small and the stove has 2 burners that do not work. Our Cars are a 2001 Kia Spectra without air and a 2009 Nissan Versa with a little over 11,000 to pay on it.

We earned 41,000 taxable income last year. My wife and I could afford a 100,000.00 home but chose not to go that far in debt. Some people might read get a new stove. I say 2 burners still work.

Now our jobs are not at risk no matter how bad the economy gets cause of the fields that we work in. Why should I be paying 1.1 TRILLION dollars for this bill? Yes there is INTEREST TO BE PAID!!!!

No these people should go under. You say that if the houses are foreclosed on they will devalue my house? GOOD I WILL PAY LESS HOME OWNERS TAXES!!! Let them fail.
Then if there are too many houses on the market TEAR THEM DOWN. Now there are less and it employs state workers to TEAR THEM DOWN.
