As simple as a bow is to use, its quite hard to master.....then english needed to practice several hours a week by order of the king during the middle ages.
The cross bow is an even simpler weapon to use, yet it does not have the power and range of a bow. |

I like a flintlock alot better than a matchlock, matchlocks can be quite unsafe, you mess up and shoot your face off when packing a bullet by accidentally touching your chord to the ignition point, and flintlock requires like no real skill.
