Death,is it really a bad thing?
When I think about it,fear of the death is more like fear of the unknown.
Seriously,do you really know what is after "death",or is there actualy anything?Heh,anyway, most people think probably of death as,well, death. You are gone,no more you, just bones and a tombstone/picture/video/memory.
And some think of Eternal life in Hell/Heaven.
But seriously,if i had to decide I would maybe choose the first.
Eternal life,is well, erm eternal.Well,i think of it is suffering.

Reincarnation? Sure, why not.
Heaven or Hell? F*ck no, either I get tortured by over-holy people or I get stabbed up the arse with a branding stick strapped to a whip for eternity. (But I'd go with Hell because I'm a kinky f*ck)
Nothing, just the end? Personally, I think that's more of an annoyance to think about than Heaven or Hell. Just... you're gone, the end, no more good times or even conciousness. Pretty friggin' depressing to even think about.

i guess it depends on if you feel like you've made the best of your life.
your religious beliefs come secondary to that, imo.

I've always believed that when you die, the game finally allows you to move to the next level. Or you are finally allowed to turn off the screen and go outside.

Well, since we don't know what it's like until we are there, having faith is the only option. I believe in Jesus as the son of God, try to overcome my faults, and hope to get to heaven someday.
As for believing in nothing, well that's kind of useless. It's impossible to prove that there is nothing after death as science has its limits. There's no such thing as a animometer to detect that sort of thing, so you can't go about making scientific claims. However there are people who have had near death experiences who would claim that nothing after death is untrue. So on one hand we have squat for proof and on the other we have potential eye-witnesses.
I mean if you look at the best scientific rationale for the creation of the universe they can only get up to the big bang and not before. If you think about it, the big bang itself is just a fancied up retelling of the first day in Genesis, but without God in it. Who's to say it wasn't God who made the big bang and fashioned the fundamental laws of physics?

These two quotes are interesting together, perhaps these "eye-witnesses" were simply running off hope.
Besides we all know eye-witnesses arn't real proof unless they can be backed up.

I had a pretty cool dream where I was just chilling with me buds and then the world exploded. When I came to I was staring at a blue screen of death.
I said "damn" and rebooted.

We all have the same life time, no more, no less. We live and we die, it's up to you what to do in between. She'll come for you when it's your time, no need to sit around waiting for that to happen or thinking too damn much about it.

Everyone has to watch the cult movie Avalon, by the very cool Mamoru Oshii:

EDIT: to the OP, people may think it's a "bad thing" because life is a "good thing".

Not for everyone. For your statement to be valid in any way, it would be paired with the famous 'I believe' in front of the whole sentence. Failure to accept is an opinion, because neither you or I know exactly what's after death. Maybe by chance they are successful at accepting a true higher being. So in a way, you've made a little attack towards faith, saying that they're wrong. Just like when they say you're wrong.
Maybe it's just me, but when arguments like these come up, I see everyone words their posts as facts. When will we stop giving our opinions in such ignorance? We all know that ultimately it hurts/upsets people in some way. So why do it?
All you've done here is posted your flawed made-up quote to make people mad. And for what? To sound cool? This debate, this discussion, these beliefs, mean a lot to people. It means their lives. This isn't just a discussion about what you believe, it's a discussion about the creation of existence itself.
If you're going to post your opinion on a strong subject, at least do it respectfully. You know what I mean? It's nothing personal Zamo, maybe you didn't even mean it like that. It's just something I see over and over in these discussions that's just wrong.
Thought I'd give my 2 cents.
