I'm not. If GW dies and GW2 sucks, I'm done with 'net gaming. By then I should have my career in full swing and will be spending my time on more fruitful ventures. Have fun.

GW already died as far as I'm concerned and GW2 doesn't even have screenshots, well alone a release date.

Finally got a working version!
It's patching atm and I just bet something else will hit
Just to keep a record:
4 corrupt batches of downloads
2 instances of my computer reseting itself
1 Net crash while downloading
1 Power cut while downloading
Oh yes someone up there likes me!

The longer Arena Net waits, the sooner they will be the new Vaporware Kings. I mean, come on, Duke Nukem at least had some screenshots when it was in development. Sure, they changed engine and quality of the SS' few times, but those were screenshots from the game. And we do have a gameplay video.
Guild Wars 2 has barely any concept arts...
Mr.G - Try to play on North China (2nd on the list that shows the first time you launch the game) on server Azariel - tons of EU/US people. I even had my first miniparty today - my healer + a tank. Both speaking English and we managed to do the last mission on nooby island while being a level too low ;p
Partying is great fun, btw. A lot easier for priest, as someone else is getting the aggro, and easier for warrior, as he doesn't have to worry about watching HP too much.

Yeah I looked around and found thats the EU server. Was looking at a priest, no matter what game I play I normally get dragged into a healing role. Often only because it saves time people would stand around bitching who was gunna heal ^^
Ahhh fun...Still patching =P

ahhh got as far as level 8 in my 6 hours
I think I spent too long on character creation. TBh while I enjoyed it I havn't seen anything spectacular, I'm guessing it gets better once your out of noob island though?
Might buy a few more hours to get me that far then judge, but it does reek of Korean grind atm.
Was that site I suggested for time 'ney good after?

Yeah, I use it to buy time now. ~8-9 cents per hour? Awesome, if you don't play much or have busy schelude.
It does get better after 10. You get wings... I flied for at least 20 or 30 minutes before getting to a quest. Just be careful not to fall from too high.
Quests give a bit too much exp compared to Lineage 2 or Ragnarok Online or any other Korean MMO. That's why it's so popular, I guess.
I'm right now trying to get to 30 ASAP so I can join the official Aion Source legion.
edit: I just calculated that a full month, 30 days, 6 hours a day, costs barely $3 more than normal fee of $15, or 5 EUR when compared to EU changes. That's of course assuming you are a hardcore and play at least 6 hours a day, every day...
If you are a casual and play only under 3 hours a day, it's barely $8 for the full month. Awesome for me.

Nope. You choose the region (make sure it's correct - I almost wasted $5 because I forgot to change from Central China to North China), select all servers, units and currency. Then you accept, it goes to your Paypal page, you confirm the order and after 5-10 minutes during the week and about an hour or two during weekends and you get more hours.
Unless you buy for more than $170 in a day you won't have any problems. But after that amount, they will contact you to confirm your identity or something like that, to avoid bots or cheaters. But it's $170 a date, it resets every 24 hours. I doubt you will buy anything for that much in such short time.

Decided to follow the guide linked in the 10th post/reply to try this out before putting in a preorder. So far it looks lovely but it seems to be exactly the same as WAR. And I mean exactly. To you guys who've played any of the betas of Aion as well as playing WAR, are there any significant differences between Aion and WAR in how armour, combat, PvP and quests work, or is flying pretty much it?
