Also the exchange rates are MUCH better on that site it seems. I checked some ohter ones and they are as stupid as a literal 1$ = 1£.

ok aion china open beta is over has been for almost 2 motnhs now. the game is live , but they are opening new servers and giving you a 15 day tril of the game afterwhich you willl have 5 hoursd after the 15 days to pay for time.

i have posted nfo on this alot and for some reason people still call it a beta and it is not a beta at all

certain server farms are free the lastest was server farm 9 it started onthe 15th of this month and ends on the 30th after that you will get 6 hours free. also news that they will open a 10th farmonthe 30th and it will be free til the 14th of june

I've had nothing but hell trying to install this game now - 4 corrupt files, a day of solid downloading. Finally got it to install but half the damn files are missing...

*cry*

re downloading the dam thing for the 3rd time... just another 12 hours to go.

Try torrenting them or use Download Accelerator Plus, it's much better than normal downloading. And you can leave it over night and will be done in the morning.

As for me, I'm getting level 13 tomorrow. And my second summon pet, plus first Servants... Gotta love Spirit Masters.

Isn't it a little silly to actually pay to play on a Chinese server that you know you're going to just jump ship when the NA version comes out?

With the chinese pay system I don't see why, it's cheap as hell and your not tied down with a sub.

Well, seems like more trouble than it is worth for now.

When it releases, I will give it a whirl I suppose. It certainly looks pretty.

For now though, I will stick to WoW. Have guild 25 Ulduar tonight, muhahaha.

Maybe you use the wrong program to install them? You remember not to unpack those Data's and just run the installator?

Download these, put into one folder (DON'T UNRAR/UNZIP ANYTHING) and run the installer. Let the game patch up (but don't run it yet - you can, but I don't think you understand Chinese) and then apply English patch.

To be honest I havn't got a clue why I'm having these problems either...

I'm doing it all correctly I know that much, got all the files, in the same folder, run the exe. But no matter where I get the data file from it doesnt work, and when I open it up to check half the files are corrupt. Ho-hum.

I've had a look around and it seems it is a known problem but the cause isn't. Meh just gotta keep trying I s'pose.

Another advice - when you make a character, select second region (it's North China - don't worry if you see only Chinese letters) and server Azariel - I've heard it's heavily EU/US populated, as my server is a bit empty on non-Chinese... I might reroll. Better now at 13 than later at 35+ ;d

Btw - DON'T UNPACK DATA FILES. That's why they are corrupt - you are not supposed to unpack them, run exe without opening the data files.

meh 4th set of files I've downloaded and I'm officially giving up. I actually got further this time but I've hit more errors. Pity really, I was looking forward to Aion.

I've tried downloading from several place, manually patching, skipping the updater, repairing files....oh well

EDIT: Quick question, how many files did you have to download - I'm getting conflicting reports of either 4 or 5. I've been downloading all the files from the same "set" so it should'nt matter, but just curious.

Perhaps its the do with the Korean and Chinese versions...

There are 4 files + 1 english patch. 4 from the site I gave you, one I downloaded elsewhere.

What I don't understand is - how could you have problems? I downloaded the game on Tuesday and it worked perfectly well.

I havnt got a clue myself, I've downloaded all the files into one folder then double clicked the install exe. But no matter what the Data.zip is corrupt. Meh, who knows?

I just saw an IGN article where they say there are already 3,5 million subscribers... And it's only after 2 months. That's 1/4 of WoW's current playerbase...
