Ah, good ol' Combat.
I think Atari started a trend there - one of the best games ever released for a console and it was the one that came bundled with the first run of 2600s. Or "Ataris" as we called them back then.
I'm with risky, though - I started with Pong - monochromatic slabs of white-on-black that burned the crap out of your TV.

Wow, I remember that game. It was fun. Actually finished it too.
On topic, possibly Pokemon Red Version.

Super Mario brothers 3 was the first game I fell in love with.
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is the video game that opened the world of online gaming to me.

I have multiple first games (but no console stuff - when I was in maybe second, third grade Pokemon was just getting big, and I begged for a GameBoy, but my mom claimed it was brain rot).
The first game that was mine was this one Disney game, the name of which I can't remember. It was the Disney cartoon gang, mainly Mickey, and I remember having him and Minnie go on a picnic in the woods, or to the beach, etc. There was this weird vinyl overlay for the keyboard that was colors and shapes and stuff. I think there might have been two different games that I am mixing up. I was like 4, so it's kinna fuzzy.
Then there was the first real (i.e. Teen rated) game I ever played, which was Might and Magic VIII (though I had eagerly watched my dad play HoMMIII when I was fairly small, much to my mom's dismay). Yeah everyone badmouthed it but at the time I thought it was the greatest thing ever.
The first game I really owned, though, the first I ever got for myself, was Oblivion (also my first M-rated game, kind of). Well, actually, that was my dad's, but I paid for all the expansions.
And excluding a brief bout with MapleStory in freshman year (I mean really brief - uninstalled it in less than a week), Guild Wars was my first online game.

The first game I played was text and only available on MainFrames (before Atari, pong etc) was Adventure..and a little Gladiator. Adventure was developed at ITT as an experiment in artificial intel.
First home was pong then Intelevision (scored 234k points on Beamrider and have a pic somewhere). 60k or over got you a patch from Beam Rider. That was my first title
