What was the first video game you owned?
Mine was Pong, if you can call 2 lines and a square a video, it was the greastest thing in the world.

Super Mario Bros. 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System [NES] (the boxy thing that came before the SNES.)
I still remember the day I got the SNES and the game because it was my 6th or 7th birthday and my Dad set it up for me. He took the first shot of it and fell down the first hole.

Air-Sea Battle, for the Atari 2600.
That game to this day remains one of my favorite games of all time.

I think it was Tetris for the Gameboy. I can't really remember, though.

That was hard as hell for my age, I don't think I ever got more than half way through it.

I too played Pong as my first game...had a neighbour who's parents were so unbelieveably cool, they bought the arcade console. Drop a quarter in, play the game, open the front, retrieve your quarter, and repeat.
Then there was a seemingly endless stream of Commodore 64 games...and my first PC game was a horribly addictive dungeon exploring game called "hack". I've tried searching for it online, but can you imagine how many hits the word "hack" generates?
