Halloween can piss off, we need to get wintersday started
We're already behind the times.
I mean why do we have to wait until the end of the year for an ingame holiday that is more secularist nonsense than anything else. Bring out the hats and the gambling areas already I say. If everyone else gets started really early, we need to stay with the times.
Plus we can roll out the dragon festival at the same time... there's no need to wait for that either.

One fine September day several years ago (IRL) I walked into a box store (Big chain -tons of stores all over the place) shopping for something and saw the employees setting up CHRISTMAS TREES & STUFF!!!!
I haven't set foot in any of those -Marts since. I say, (IRL) Leave Christmas time for December! K?
And as for Wintersday in Tyria - save it for Wintersday!!!

kook I can do you one better...one fine JULY day (shortly after the 4th of july festivities had ended). I walked into a shopping mall---and there was already a xmas tree set up (with 4th of july flags on it )....yeah holidays seem to start earlier and earlier every year. I tend to avoid shopping malls from when school starts until about march or so. (actually I avoid them as much as possible....hate them)
I am with the gw ones starting earlier though
/signed!! (need to finish up a bunch of titles....)

Let's face it - Halloween and Christmas sell.
Stores are going to maximize these profitable times.

That's called after-Christmas sales?
Dunno about you folks, but it's custom in SoCal to set out Christmas stuff in mid-July, with decorations going up the minute the Halloween ones go down. Of course, the real shopping season doesn't start until the Macy's Day Parade (yes that is not a typo, it's what I tend to refer to it as) is over.
I want our Halloween though! Wasn't Wintersday in July enough? I happen to like Costume Brawl... and candycandycandy!
I do wish they'd make Thanksgiving a proper event, though, instead of it just being a whatever weekend. It's a stupid holiday IRL, almost as stupid as Columbus Day, but hey, I need more pie. PAAAAAAAH.
Also, what they really need is something to break up the long wait between Easter (which also needs to be expanded beyond "Sweet Treats Weekend" - laaame, can't they have a Spring Celebration or something and draw on the old pagan spring holidays?) and the Dragon Festival. That's always the bland part for me...

yeah something in the summer would be nice (and jiggles....not everyone celebrates xmas on dec 25...there are some who do it on jan 6th or so....so no big thing for trees to still be up thru january).
summer is always boring .....they need to spice it up a bit more...and now that its september we have nothing for another 7 weeks YAAWWWNNN!
