How times have changed
in the past a good computer was the size of an entire room
now it fits in your lap.
in the past a harddrive was the size of a round table.
now it fits it in the palm of your hand
in the past a wireless phone was the size of your head
now it can fit into your ear
in the past if you wanted to listen to your songs on the road you had to have a boombox on your shoulder
now you can clip it on your belt
in the past a power adapter covered two outlets
and now it....o wait... never mind :/

I wonder what the capacity of that big-ass drive was...? Now we got 1 TB + drives that can fit inside a computer case. Heh.

Isnt that just a bluetooth earpiece? An earpiece is not a cellphone.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was only a few MB. If what I hear is correct, there is more technology in modern mobile phones then there was in the 1969 Moon landing equipment. Put that into perspective.

Yet it is now impossible for us to return to the moon. Food for thought.

true but then why carry a giant brick next to your ear, when you can just stick a small headset in it?
i think one of the reasons we're not returning to the moon is once we privatize space we will see a coca-cola logo on the moon

the only reason the US is not going back to the moon, is because of lack of funding. if the americans really want to go back, it will be done. the technology is there, but not the funding and willpower.
at the rate it's currently going, china will likely reach the moon before the US make another attempt.

If it weren't for the NASA program, much of what we take for granted today, might not yet be in general use.

It'd be food for thought if it was an issue of technology and not an issue of funding. It's not impossible to return to the moon, we just have no reason to put the money into it, and thus we don't.

Wow. I LOVE that little bit under the picture of the so-called "home computer".
"created this model to illustrate how a "home computer" could look in the year 2004... will not be feasible for the average home... with teletype interface and the Fortran language, the computer will be easy to use"

Why go back to the moon?
To exchange the flag up there for a new one?

North Korea will get to the Moon before China, then prevent all others from getting to it:

On the power adaptor subject. Today I wanted to charge my Ipod and Laptop at the same time. My Ipod charger has these silly flappy things on the side that prevents you from pulgging anything into the plug next to it.
