You mean, he should join UFC? Well, with Lesnar being sick and all, more likely UFC fighters will join Strikeforce, since Brock was the best they got.

So because Lesnar's sick, UFC fighters are going to join Strikeforce?

It's true. You look at his record and say holy shit, he's unstoppable. He's beaten people like Crop Cop, Noguiera, and Coleman, so why stop there? Let's see how he'd do against Mir, Velasquez and Lesnar. Hell, let's see how he'd do against Kongo. Not saying he'd get destroyed by those guys, but I'm sure they'd give him a run for his money.
Look at his past 5 fights. 3 nobodies and 2 washed up UFC champions. Stop fighting nobodies and let's see what you really got, Fedor.

He didn`t want to join UFC because Dana offered him unfair contract. Which is the case with most of the other UFC fighters. Strikeforce has Fedor. UFC has... who? Congo/Bongo/He-man? Fedor is da man. And his record is well deserved. When he fought Crocop, Mirko was in his prime and still got whopped by Fedor. When he fought Arlovsky, he was far from being burned out. Rogers is the killer and yet he lost.

You lost me there.. Because Lesnar is probably retiring, UFC has no more true stars. Strikeforce has the best fighter atm in the world. That, coupled with bad contracts Dana gives them, could incline UFC fighters to join Strikeforce. There you go.

Fair enough. And yeah, UFC has Kongo, Lesnar, Velasquez, and Mir. As I said, Fedor is the man of a small pond. Cool, he beat Cro Cop in his prime. And yes, Arlovski was pretty washed up earlier this year. Rogers is the killer? The killer of who, nobodies? Cool.

Lesnar isn't going to retire because he's sick. And UFC has a lot of stars, I'll gladly name them if you'd like.

Why would you waste your time? You obviously have different opinion and that is fine with me. But other than Lesnar and Mir, UFC got squat. And Rogers has beaten Arlovsky and Thompson (as much as i can recall) and had 10-0 record before he fought Fedor. People like or dislike Fedor for various reasons, but i know that i`d always put my money on him. Even if they throw a grizzly in cage to fight him. When he survived that slam from Randleman ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDB8wk6P9g8 ) and WON, i knew that Fedor was something that was never seen before.

Opinions have nothing to do with the skill of a fighter. It doesn't matter who you think is good or not, there are many good fighters in the UFC. Lesnar, Mir, Velasquez, Kongo, Machida, Shogun, Evans, Thiago Silva, Griffin, Anderson Silva, Henderson, Marquardt, Belfort, Alves, GSP, Koscheck, Penn, Sanchez, and Florian. Not to mention the UFC had some of the best fighters such as Gracie and Liddell. That's off the top of my head. Now, who does Strikeforce have? Fedor, ..., ...., you get my point. Strikeforce has one good fighter, the rest are nobodies.
Rogers beat Arlovski earlier this year. As I said before, he's a washed up fighter now. He beat Thompson? Amazing. Only 11 people have beaten him out of his 25 fights. Again, Thompson is a nobody who's good at getting knocked out in the first round.
Stop trying to make it look like Fedor is God and the UFC is crap. Until Fedor fights in the UFC, he's going to continue winning against nobodies, but if he disagrees with the contract Dana White offered then we'll never know how good he'd do against some real opponents.
Now, I'm not saying Fedor sucks or anything, I think he's a good fighter. However, he will always be overrated in my mind until he faces more good opponents.

I used to be a big boxing fan when I was younger, but I haven't watched it in years. Now we have this free style conglomeration of martial arts, boxing, etc. Now if that is what you like and I did at one time I have no problem. My concern is that as we go on it reminds more and more of ancient Rome in their last days. I don't know if there is really any relation but it just seems that as a society ages, it also degenerates at the same time. I know I am looking at this from the opposite end of many people here, but is it really fun watching any human being beating another. Virtual violence I have no problem with, but real sanctioned violence just doesn't seem right anymore..

Ok, true enough. Except the bolded part, i mean, c`mon they are both legends, but pretty aged now. Unless there is another Gracie brother, dunno.. And not all of the mentioned fighters are heavyweight. Noone truly knows what is in the contract Dana offered Fedor, other than themselves. But, there was a reason why it was rejected. Was it unfair contract, or was Fedor afraid to ruin his record fighting (thus having a greater chance of losing) in UFC? It is all becoming too speculative to be taken seriously. Those fighters that you`ve mentioned are good, but i don`t think they are Fedor`s class. I`m not going into "blaaaah.. Lesnar just lies on people until they suffocate.." and such, but i didn`t see any fighter as complete as Fedor yet in UFC. This guy has it all - striking, submissions, you name it. Far from it that he is invincible/bulletproof or something. He will fall too someday. But not this day. I still believe that in heavyweight, UFC has no fighter better than Fedor. -- standing guilty of fanboism based on reality--

I`m looking forward to it too. I`d really love to see how he fares against UFC fighters. It is kind of inevitable, and if Fedor wants to be recognized as the best ever, he`ll have to face them. He probably knows this too and i hope he won`t wait long, because he`s already getting in his mid-thirties.

Societies built on false values do degenerate.

There are also dog fights, bull fights in Spain, RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO fights... Nothing strange there, it is human nature, our genetic background. Whether is it virtual or not, you too have it in yourself. But i do get your point. Dualism is in us too, so we can never be just "good" or just "bad". Just roll with it.

To add to your reality: if Fedor was up to the challenge, he'd have taken up the gauntlet long ago. Never mind being recognized as the best because he knows he's too old by now. cr. Randy Couture, who mans up and realizes he's pretty much a gatekeeper for the younger fighters at this point.
Sorry to burst your bubble.
