Yes. And I have a thing called "SNES emulator" on my PC. At least since my SNES broke down.

Na, I was just wondering why you were asking for SNES games when you were citing DS ones.
There's always the Square-Enix classics. Chrono Trigger, FFIV, FFV, FFVI - but FFIV might be a little too easy because of the fact that the English translation is significantly dumbed down. (I think FFV was the very first FF I played.) Then there's the Mario RPG; Zelda: Link to the Past. All worth a replay, I think. I also remember playing Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma.

1st edition D&D was the first, still play it to this day too. I have also played Diablo, Diablo 2, Morrowind, Oblivion, Baldur's Gate, Baldur's gate 2, and others. And about Oblivion, in my opinion it has the best graphics and interactive environment that I have seen to date, but I still much prefered Morrowind. I found it to have a much more enjoyable storyline and there was just much more to do. The world was immense in Morrowind, I was able to do everything in Oblivion too quickly, that was my only complaint really though. Of course, once you add the appropriate mods to Morrowind it was much better graphics than the original Morrowind as well; still not up to the standards of Oblivion, but better none the less. Because it is just such an immense and well put together world in my opinion, Morrowind is still my favorite game that I ahve played.

If you consider it an RPG, I played Myst on one of those old Macintoshes when I was like 8 or so.
Way after that it would have to be Arcanum, some of the Fallout series, and Dungeon Siege.

First off, I love you.
Second for Abedeus, this list + Earthbound is almost every game you need to have played on the SNES. I guess the Donkey Kong Country games too, but they're not really in this category.

A friend recommended Terranigma to me a long while back, but I think I personally prefer the Illusion of Gaia style more.

Baldur's Gate ftw. It was my first encounter with D&D; I never got around to a live group 'til sometime later, although I'd been wanting one for a long time.

Yeah, I have Earthbound on my SNES, and I played both Chrono Trigger (but for a very short time, unfortunately) and Zelda. I'll try to find FF games, hopefully I'll like them too.

Shamefully, it was Pokemon blue on the Game Boy. The next one was FF8 on PC.

You may want to try the DS remake of FFIV instead. The original FFIV for the SNES was released as FFII in the US and is disgustingly easy compared to the Japanese version, which is significantly harder. I'm not sure if this applies to the DS remake, but I don't think it does.
EDIT: Oh gods, how could I forget Seiken Densetsu 3?

Earliest one I can remember is Chaos on the Spectrum, think that counts as an rpg
First rpg ever was Talisman from the Games Workshop, thats a board game though.

Final Fantasy II was my first RPG... I fell in love!
After that, I played every Final Fantasy title that came out, up until FF IX. The death of my console game love coincided with the birth of my PC gaming habit. I blame Diablo II. =)~
Squaresoft sure did release some quality games though...! I still have a soft spot for games like Chrono Trigger and Xenogears.

Ive played literally at least a hundred RPG's over my life, but the first one I think was The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past when i was about 5 back in 1997 I believe. The next one would have been FF Mystic Quest SNES also, then I went to N64 then PS1-2 and yeah so many good and bad RPG's good times haha good times.
