I'd rather be 3rd overall with most golds (and setting a new record for most golds) than 1st overall with less golds than 2nd, 3rd, and tied with 4th. Grats on coming in 2nd and 3rd more than the others, I guess.
Anyways, I shit bricks when US scored with 24 seconds to go, and Crosby is my new hero.

The Americans gave us an insane run for our money, and I may even go as far to say that they played a better game than us in the final two periods (3rd + OT). The winning goal shouldn't have gone in - it's a routine save for goalies such as Miller. But you could see it as the goal was going in, and after it went in - Miller just sat on the ice, with a huge, "oh shit" written all over him.
Good games to all the countries.

Thousands of people were running around the streets. The high-way completely stalled as people got out of their cars and started screaming and running around, haha. I also live right by a University, and thousands of students poured into the streets. Good times

I kind of knew there would a riot in the Canadian streets after that game.
Stupid, really.
Congrats to Canada for taking (read: STEALING (just kidding)) the Gold.

It's not amazing that Canada won the gold (they were expected to win), as much as American team making it to final (they weren't expected to). But it was a great game from what I could see (I don't follow hockey), and hard fought by both teams. Now they can all come back to the NHL where their hearts really lie.

There was no riot as bars were shut down early and anyone that was about to start one was arrested. They were taken out of the downtown centre then released so there was no riot and I live in the host city.
