Hey guys,

I decided to get back into Aion, haven't played since september but I know my char is just a low lvl noob.

So while I'm on the subject of noob, here's some noob questions

What's Aion like, is it fun? is it active?
what's the economy like? any limited/rare minis etc for traders to go after?
everything real time? or are there instanced zones like gw?

100k gw money = ? kinah

and anything else you guys can think of that would be helpful to a noob would be great

Aion's received the 1.9 patch now; from my short time playing with the 1.9 patch it seems to have made a few things cost less, and improved gameplay across a few professions.

In terms of economy, I think that really depends on the server you are on. On Telemachus a few months ago Curse of Roots was selling for 600,000+ Kinah, whereas on Kalil it was going for a mere 250,000 Kinah.

There are a few instanced zones, but not really very many; at least most of my time is spent playing in the real-time world, though I suspect there many be higher level players who just grind out the instances all day.

As for "is it active"...again, depends on your server. Telemachus is certainly pretty active, but NCSoft are apparently planning some server merges anyway to help the lesser used ones. You will also be able to transfer between servers at some point, for a fee, of course!

In terms of cash, I've made a few mill on Aion in the time I had only make a few hundred plat in GW. I spose multiply GW gold by 5 or so to see what it is for Aion.

There's nothing to trade. No trading exists. Just not part of the game I suppose. Nothing in the game that people really would power trade for. Crafting though, can make you LOTS if you can proc 50 balic designs.
