Gaert's Sword??
So I was browsing around looking for real life replicas of weapons in Guild Wars when I stumbled across these. For security purposes I'm only linking pictures because I had to go through backdoors to get into some of these sites..apparently some of them "harm" your computer. But since I'm using Mac OS X, the OS in which I do not play GW and cannot sustain a win32 trojan that will steal my account, i decided to take the curious risk.
So... Gaert? Don't know of anyone named Gaert in this game. Or the sword for that matter. |

The 'engrish' comment would seem likely, but none of his other labeled art suffers that problem. |

That's... interesting.
Never heard of him though and never seen that sword either. They're probably trying to cash in on the GW franchise. |

I agree with Kumu Honua about the mis-translation, for sure.
What surprises me is that this item was noticed years ago, yet ANet still don't seem to be that interested in protecting their IP.

i doubt they'd make an exact replica; it looks like its meant to resemble a fellblade (straighten out the backedge and remove the guard).

On the second pic, it quotes Dagnar when he's about to kill Rurik ("Your punishment for trespassing is death").. Pretty sure that the angry midget splits Rurik's skull with an axe.

actually, if you look at the picture
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...GaertSword.jpg it says Gaert Sword, not Gaert's Sword. Maybe they meant Great Sword. k |
