I hate the persistent attention-whoring rank of FoW/Chaos Gloves-wearing monks in HA [get a life already].
I hate botters and scammers with the greatest passion!
I hate newbs that simply refuse to improve their skill bars.
I hate players that type: "what?", "?", "lol", "^^", "naab", and much, MUCH more!
I hate gold-cape leechers that park themselves in a town and afk /dance to wh0r3 attention.
...and that's just the tip of the iceberg!

I hate the pug mentality. Every online game has it. apparently the difference between pugs and guilds are massive but I just don't understand why that is. Just a little bit of discussion makes a lot of difference. But GW pugs aren't as bad as FPS pugs.
CSS pugs are the worst imnho. Id rather slam my eyeball into a nail over and over again.

It depends on the guild and depends on how *many* are in the guild. 3-4 guild members with heroes can actually be worse than a full human PUG simply because heroes ball up. The main reason guilds are massively better is communication and infinitely better synergy. You also know each others patterns, habits and can rely on them (unlike pugs who can disband at the drop of a hat).
FPS pugs are not even in the same league. In GW you have to play together, you don't split up and pretend to be Rambo.

Rambo is awesome.
Two things I really dislike:
- People in pvp that want to 1v1 you (mostly sins in low end pvp)
- People that spam their ha and z ranks hoping to get props or whatever.

I hate any leroys in a PUG. Even after telling them to stop doing it and dieing all the time, they still seem to like it. And then moan about their DP, for which they did not bring anything to take it away.

Good thread, thanks for posting.
Well, here is a quick run-down of the more annoying types ... though hate is too much of a word:
a) 'achievement' - driven people
- all they care about ... is more and faster, and now, and THEIR WAY (their build, their tactics, the quests they want, the missions they want, the items they want, the titles they want ... they don't give a flying f... about people they play with, all they care about are their selfish goals)
- usually act like know-it-all pricks, completely unsociable, hostile to more laid-down people ('it's just a game, you are here to enjoy it with other people, rather than grind your life doing redundant and repetitive tasks to be 'better'') and newbies ('you are doing it wrong, copy-paste this pvxwiki build and stop experimenting IDIOT!', ' skip this RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing cinematic, I've watched it 9999 times already', 'no, skip this quest/don't go here, I don't f... care you didn't experience the world lore/story yet')
- obsessed with visible indicators of 'power' and 'prestige', like titles, better-looking/performing gear etc.
b) sad ignorants
- above and beyond any critique, unable to learn from their own errors and those of the others, unable to comprehend a more complex concept or idea often required to progress as a 'player', to learn and understand more of the game mechanics to be better at it
- have a nasty habit of 'playing solo' in a party, running a 'solo' build and disregarding other people's desire to fulfil bonus goals or avoid party wipe
- quite often they have a 'solo' mentality from traditional MMORPGs, where each class is self-sufficient to high degree and players group only for most difficult challenges (it's not complicated there either - healers bleed their eyes from hp bars, tanks hack and slash the adjacent mobs without moving an inch, dps classes spam skills left and right) ... what they think is that a 'party' is a composition of random people killing and healing on their own for most part instead of a TEAM of people ... which WORK TOGETHER AT ALL TIMES rather than BY THE WAY (if they must)
c) solo players
- 'offline' mode, turned off chat, hero & hench routine all day ... sometimes I think they completely missed the 'multiplayer online' part of the genre, because they are unable and unwilling of interacting with other people even within their own guild ... still, somehow they give significance to pointless titles and awards that distinguish them from other players, even if they completely disregard other people all the f... time
d) 'entitled' people
- basically everyone thinking they deserve recognition and respect for doing X thing ages past, playing Y hours, owning Z items/titles/achievements
- usually self-centered and unable of working towards a common goal, unless that goal is their goal
- hostile to new players as a principle ('unworthy scum' which didn't play since game beta/launch etc.)
- quite often pvp elitists, which are not necessarily very skilful but are full of ego and over-the-top self-esteem

People who played a bit for after the release were semi decent and come back and call themselves pro even after not playing for almost 5 years.

Great question, I remember when this game first game out, People were generally nice and helpful and It stayed that way for quite sometime. Now that I have started playing again after a few long breaks I see public and private chat filled with foul mouthed morons/children who think they are gods gift to this game because they purchased a bunch of guildwars cash from slave farmers in china, bought a Voltaic spear and dyed it black.
The pretentious attitude in this game from so many players I come in contact with is quiet appalling. I think some of it can attribute to many younger players now who's parents will not pay their monthly fee for wow or another Paid MMO so they ended up getting guildwars. Also many people have been loosing their jobs over the course of the past 2 years. They play the game constantly in order to escape the problems in their life. These people get so into the game that if they see anything out of place in their make shift fantasy world that they outlash in often offensive ways. I wish people would just be kind to one another in this game and I truly hope GW 2 has a $30/month fee so we can weed out many of idiots that play this game now.
So in short the players I hate the most are the ones that do not give other players the simply courtesy of respect.

Who the heck wants to pvp in such a bad pvp environment anyway?
If you guys want real PVP challenge move on to starcraft or a game like that. GW's pvp is absolutely aweful.

Hate is a strong word (lol that is original in this thread).
I do not like ignorance, people who talk to you while set to "do not disturb", "offline", or ignore you (only turds need to squelch their viewers kids, furthermore I do not like hypersensitivity, stupidity or any combination of the previously mentioned.

Players annoy me when they bash Guild Wars 2 for no legitimate reason. When the game or the demo actually comes out, go ahead and express your opinion. Until then, stop pretending you've been to the future.
