Soldier's Fury is okay, you can easily use it to get permanent 33% IAS and extra adrenaline.

*) Almost every Ranger Beast Mastery Elite skill.
*) Burning Arrow.
*) Punishing Shot.
*) Famine
*) Melandru's arrows.
*) Poison Arrow.
*) Smoke Trap.
That covers a LOT of Ranger elites that need to be slightly buffed or buffed.

Worst elites depend on your build and preference in my opinion. But me, I'm not too big on the warrior skills where you use an elite and then automatically lose all adrenaline and energy (energy is already very low on a tank unless you have lots of runes). And what's with the elites, or any skill for that matter, that end as soon as you successfully hit with an attack or use an attack skill? Renders melee professions kind of useless.
I do agree that Quick Shot is pretty useless. Sure it moves faster, but so do others that do less damage.

LOL. That and Mel's Shot are the only used Ranger elites in any respectable level of PvP.
The others, I'll agree with you.

Yeah, I thought of Magebane after I said it. I thought about editing, but didn't figure most people considered TA respectable PvP. I know it's basically meta there.
Anyway, I haven't seen it for a while in my GvG/HA observances (I'm mainly PvE but I observe when bored). Was it added lately due to Distortion eles?

Are you insane?
-Burning arrow is CONSTANTLY used in JQ (from my experience)
-Punishing shot is still a very useful interrupt for the bow. Don't get mad cause you cant do it as well as mesmers
-Famine is good for farming in PvE, maybe it could get a rework or buff for PvP though
-Melandru's Arrows were already updated. Leave it alone.
-Perhaps a slight buff for Poison Arrow for PvE, but it should stay the same as it is for PvP.
-Smoke trap I admit not to have had enough experience with to say yay or nay.
The problem with this whole thread is ppl are going to suggest skills to buff for THEIR main class, instead of skills that need to be buffed/changed regardless of class. For example, if I were to provide a list, of skills I think should be buffed or changed, it would mostly be Dervish skills.

Poison Arrow could use some conditional damage, such as doing 5...20 extra damage if it hits a foe not already suffering from poison. It would still poison the target if it hits. That might make it a decent pressure skill, and you could run it with Barbed.

No, the problem with this thread is the sheer number of uninformed opinions, such as the guy you ripped for complaining about ranger elites that see regular use. I've seen most of the skills players are complaining about contribute mightily in PvP builds at some point. Eg: Mark of Protection as the key ingredient in old EoE bomb.
The original "The Power is Yours" is probably the worst elite I've seen in the history of the game. Impossibly unwieldy.
It's hard to beat the current Shroud of Silence for uselessness. Spending your elite slot on a three second blackout that you can only use twice per minute is about as pointless as it gets.

Crippling Anguish. Exact same everything as Imagined Burden but with 2 degen (3 if 12) and elite. And it's a hex to so it could get removed the second it's applied anyways.

3/4 is in PvE. People seem to have forgot PvP existed since that update happened. They are still long casting toothpicks otherwise.

You use soul twisting for the fact it makes the next spirit recharge instantly.

I vanquished half the game using a Smoke Trapper. Back in the days before any idiot could apply the most powerful anti-caster condition in the game by pressing 'Technobabble' and do so very fast thanks to consumables.
As a Ranger... I think i'd have to go for Poison Arrow.
In Prophecies, Apply Poison was better and everyone and his dog ran Barrage (i favoured Punishing Shot).
In Factions, why take Poison Arrow over Apply Poison and lose the possibility of using Broadhead Arrow?
In Nightfall you finally got access to Barbed Arrows... oh damn, Burning Arrow and poison being spreadble through Death Nova on hero MMs.
In EotN it still hasn't seen a buff and the PvE skills rendered it even more useless.
Helix has just reminded me... Second Wind... i'm sure i used Ether Prodigy for something, i just can't remember what.
