Curse

I thought I'd share this since its not every day this kind of thing happens.

This is me and my wife Jen, after about 2 and a half years of dating, we got married a couple weeks ago.

Our story in a nut shell is:
We met on GuildWars about 3 years ago. We became very good friends very quickly, and eventually we both decided we were having feelings for each other above friendship. We don't live anywhere near each other, she lives in Montreal, QC; I live in Charlotte, NC. So neither of us had large expectations of a relationship ever working out. But our feelings were strong enough that we thought we'd just go with it and see where it led us.

After a year had gone by, we had each traveled to our respective cities and met each others families and friends. Things were going wonderfully. The following year we decided to spend most of the summer with each other to see just how well our lives intermingled. So I spent a bit of time in Montreal, and she spent a bit of time here in Charlotte. Fast-forward to that Christmas, I took her aside while we were all celebrating the holiday, and I asked her to marry me. To which she said yes.

Now we have been married for several weeks now, and I am beginning the visa process to move to either Montreal, or Ottawa, we haven't really decided which.

So thats that, I thought you guys would enjoy that little story.

As kind of a background on both of us, she just finished college with a Masters in World Religion and Culture and is starting her career of being a teacher at the college level. She has played GW for 4 and a half years.

I am in the middle of getting a Bachelors in Environmental Science, and then hopefully a masters in it afterwards, and am also in the middle of starting my first business. I have played GW for 3 and a half years.

So when your parents/friends tell you that playing video games is a waste of time, tell them you may just find your future spouse while killing Duncan in Slavers. Then get ready for them to laugh at you.
