I just wish it were spring weather since I dont have to worry about spring break (heck I cant even tell you what day of the week it is without mousing over the time on my computer

Ya, I'm just ready for a break. I want to be able to decompress a little and reflect on how my experience has been going since I haven't really had time too. Plus I need to work more on my portfolio so I can graduate lol

Supposed to be 52 here with some clouds today. I will take that over 40 degrees though for sure.

Mom says they are FINALLY getting some rain in florida...

As I sit here looking out the window it is snowing, it is supposed to turn to rain(1 or 2 inches) before it ends. But they keep saying how unpredictable springs storms can be so who knows what will happen. April 1, 1997 we had almost 2 feet of snow.

Well I don't think it hit 50 today... But it is supposed to be 55 tomorrow... Fingers crossed for that happening.

Sorry about the snow RR, we got a bit the other day but it wasn't enough to accumulate.

yeah I can remember a couple of late season snow storms---one when I was a kid (78?) we went on a vacation to DC (me, sister, mom and dad)...dad had to go back to work early---it was nice and warm in dc and was warm when we had left on the trip hence NO coats or warm clothing, get to ohare, its about freezing and snowing with drifts already up to my knee!....remember when mom called for dad to come and get us she mentioned: bring some coats for the girls and hers too!

so yeah snow in april and even into may has happened lots in the northern parts of the us (heck some of the skiing places love it as they can stay open longer without having to make the snow!)

I dont think I have had that problem before. We have had some snow late in the year but it didn't usually accumulate to horribly much.

Bedtime, school day tomorrow and then it is spring break. Thank the Lord!

well guess your weekend and week off have started pwnd, hope you have a good time. Went out for lunch with my hubby..wanted chinese--but the restaurant was permanently closed...this recession is really getting bad..yesterday I went out to find a card for my mom, and had to go to three places to find a hallmark store that was still there! (I know of 2 others but didnt want to drive that far)...and the gas station on the corner is closed now too....geesh.

We had maybe 2" but a little further north they had 6 to 8". Supposed to be a nice weekend in the high 40's. If you haven't figured it out by now I am a weather addict.

I used to be...but for the last weeks I have been watching the usgs website instead (and reading stuff from peeps living in japan)....not to mention a few other RL issues that have been at the forefront of my thoughts (both waking and sleeping).....my friends in japan are ok--worried, but ok.....just glad I am not there right now (my mom-in-law would be having kittens, she almost had the military out looking for us when the one in thailand in 04 happened--and we werent even in the country at the time!).

egads...ghostbusters again....think its another harry potter night (really need to dig out some other dvds...they are pretty buried...heck weekend project

Yup it is officially break for me! So excited to have a week off! Though I think I'm actually gonna miss going in and teaching... I'm an odd one.

My gf thinks it is a harry potter night every night. That doesn't always fly lol

pwnd...can understand BOTH of that (when I was teaching in japan --the days we werent felt very strange)...and yeah, found some bablyon 5 disks to watch (got season 3 for xmas)....so watched that instead.....so might be a bablyon 5 month instead of potter (though the dvd for the last movie is out around tax time so...will have to make an exception for that weekend)

had some pretty good rain the last few days, happy its not snow .....
didnt quite make it though the bablyon 5-a thon...have 6 more episodes to watch from the season.
made a fritata for dinner last night with spinach, leeks and onions--turned out pretty good...having abalone for dinner tonight (monday is fish night).

lol No cause I finished the ones I needed to watch because I didn't want to miss them! So I don't have to watch them this week when that was my original plan! Oh well... I guess I'll have to find another show I can watch while I work.

First day of Spring Break=Success.

Did pretty much nothing. Tomorrow I aim to be more productive! Like getting out of bed and showering.

We had scrambled eggs and toast since my little sister is ill. When I was sick they had pizza and stuff that I didn't feel like eating. >.> Oh well. She needs to get better so she can go to school.

ah to be in college again where a day off is one you spend trying to decide if you should get up now or in 3 hours....if you should eat the cold pizza or some other left over in the fridge----

we have almost finished season 3 of bab 5...was a pretty good season.
tried to make an abalone dish tonight--never have had it before so thought we would try it out, well, lets just say no need to try it again--the stuff is pretty taste-less and for the price I can get lots of better fish or shellfish.....but wouldnt haven know it until we tried it, so that is over.

lol Yes well, it is almost 10am here and I have been up for about an hour. I have already lifted weights and am getting ready to go shower. Then I'll come back and work on my portfolio some. Got to be productive today.

I need a new show to get into... I was thinking Dexter since I have heard good things about it but I'm still not sure.

what kind of programs do you like? I havent watched a lot of the newest junk on tv (not a comedy type person and reality shows make me want to watch paint dry)....but maybe some of the others have watched some better shows. (I think the only shows in the current line up I watch are house, bones and ncis--and not the spin offs, they are lame)
