We have to wait until next Thursday and Friday for temps in the high 40's to low 50's. No snow in the foreseeable future, but we still have about 2 feet of snow on the ground = to about 3 to 5 inches of water, so we need a slow melt to avoid flooding.

Ya we are going to have the flooding issue here as well if it melts to quickly. Will be interesting to see how that goes. We hit 40 today and the week is supposed to continue to warm up, which is a nice change.

temperatures are rising as well as the run off from the melting snow (yeah will need to work on that part of the lyrics

talked to a friend out in Boise today, he said it was 57! and they got no snow from the last big wave that hit (actually said it had been quite dry--I did offer him a few million tons of snow from the east coast

).

Welp hopefully it just continues to warm up. I would be okay with that. I am over the whole winter thing now.

Sleep now. Have to teach all the classes tomorrow, including the little snot nosed 4th graders because my coordinating teacher is gone. Sink or swim time.

pwnd...ah 4th graders I have done that--had 6 classes of them on one day (the whole school I believe) had to do the same assignment over and over again, I was soooo tired the next day---so good luck with that.

I just have one class but they are one of the wild classes. Wouldn't be so bad if it was the Tuesday bunch as they are well-behaved and the teacher actually participates and helps out with the lesson. The other teachers just kind of sit there and grade or leave the room. Not so helpful.

Well people are saying only a employee could leak it but they are also saying Crytek will probably blame it on pirates. So who knows.

its supposed to get really warm this week....cant believe it since february is usually the coldest month....but really dont care, not a fan of cold anyways.

did anyone do something special for vday?

Over here it's gonna get really vold this week, and maybe even snow.

well, Valentines day, nothing really, in a poll, 75% of the danes said "we don't care about valentines day", and i was like "yay" because Valentines day has nothing to do with Denmark, but Americans celebrating is fine, since it's their tradition.

I think we had this discussion last year....americans took the holiday and hallmark (the greeting card co) ran with it....it started in europe and was quite popular there in the middle ages....it did make it to other countries (though in japan its the day that women give men gifts--white day in march is the day that men give women chocolate and something, yeah, white).

so not american but definitely utilized heavily here

It still sucks, in my most humble opinion, but then again, anything that forces me to "act a certain way" like X-mas, new years eve, and in general big holidays, i avoid and loathe.

yes I think we get that...and no you dont have to act anyway special here for ANY holiday...though a bit of holiday cheer around xmas is usually welcomed by all. You remember that we have lots of peoples with tons of different backgrounds here, so lots of holidays are just in name only like ground hog day ....outside of a bit of news about the big rodent on tv and a few fanatics nothing happens here and there is no special way to act....The only major difference for the BIG holidays is that a lot of businesses are closed as well as all government offices and schools. So if you dont wish to join in the celebration no one will say anything.

(for the record my hubby did NOTHING special for valentines day for me, which is exactly what I expected so no biggie)...some people like to get into holidays, others couldnt care less....I just observe that a 'holiday' has happened, yet I do not change my actions for said day either.

yeah well, i'm cheery and happy all day long, 24/7, 365, so that's no problem for me :P, and most holidays in Denmark, is about getting as drunk as possible hahaha.

I took pwnd out for lunch tuesday, he's a nice guy.

that must have been a long trip for lunch azzer...

lots of holidays are like that (next month is st patricks day....green beer for everyone!)...though I dont drink so I am usually not part of the 'in' groups.

hubby made some sun chokes for dinner tonight...mighty tasty ...we are trying to add some new items to our veggie lists....had them with scallops.

Next month is my birthday followed by St. Patricks day. Would be epic if I drank, which I don't lol Oh well.
