when I was a kid I HATED fish....mostly because of stuff like fish sticks and the filet of fish from mcD....just horrible stuff--the worst of the worst and then a little worse than that....now that I have had fresh fish (sushi grade--no smell and you can taste the difference between fish types and you dont just get a generic fish)....there is a huge difference (and if you had told me when I was a kid I would eat fish when I was older I would have laughed in your face).
I wont do many cooked fish--except salmon and halibut (doesnt have a flavor really)....all the others I like raw. (hence sushi )
now I am hungry again----

Living in New England with the availability of fresh fish (if it smells fishy it isn't fresh), I have come to enjoy most of what we catch off our shore. I just can't eat soft-shell clams as I am allergic to them. I think I am starting to shake this damn cold, fingers crossed.

Ya I don't understand the oatmeal thing either Azzer... But oh well.
Hope you are feeling better RR. Colds are not fun to say the least.
So I entered a giveaway on youtube the other day. A guy who I subscribe to updated his capture card, so he was giving away his old one. I jokingly, and my gf can back this up because she was sitting next to me, entered saying I would never win. I won lol I laughed so hard. He posted a video of his wife drawing the name and sure enough, it was mine. So I know will be getting a capture card which means I can record some of my 360 games and post them on the youtube. Oh and DE is already asking me if he can borrow it. Win.

nice pwnd, congrats.
I like oatmeal and its good for you, so thats a plus (I would say more like people saying they actually LIKE the taste of beer---one of those 'acquired' tastes---which I never did acquire or coffee)
and yeah I thought I had finally gotten the upper hand of my cold---and it smashed me down for a good 10 hours this morning (yeah its probably not a cold but a 'viral infection' since I have had it for longer than 10 days....but I am not going to pay my doctor to tell me what I already know and that she cant give me anything for it)
glad you are winning your fight rr

Thanks guys. I laughed pretty hard but it was a nice change of luck for me.
Well trying to study but my sister and one of her friends keep needing me to help them with computer stuff. It took me 10 minutes to do something they had tried to do for probably 2 or 3 hours now. Stuff goes so much smoother when you know your stuff.

Grats pwnd !
So here I was thinking that every stereotypes on tahitians were over, and tada one of the main French channel throws a new reality show and well...if you thought Peter Griffin was dumb, you have yet to see the polynesian "prince" (not really a real one since there's no more prince and he isn't even a descendant from one of the main royal family)...it's like he comes from a freaking island lost in the middle of the ocean where no mix of culture have happened...yet French Polynesia is considered a developed country depending on the criteria...it's painful to watch...yet intriguing because you're like "nah he's not that dumb" and then "OMG yes he is..."
I know shows like that are scripted to death but he's so dumb...
And that was my little rant of the day.
Finals is starting in 8 hours, it's going to be fun.

I can't stand shows that have people that are that dumb in it. I just want to grab them and tell them to be smarter. >.> Oh well.
Well, 12 quizzes to go. Hopefully I will get 6-8 done tomorrow so I can finish on Tuesday. Now it is time to sleep. Trying to get on a schedule for student teaching.

spent my whole day today sleeping (guess that is what my body needed, though now I feel drained/no energy, could be the lack of food since I havent figured out how to eat and sleep simultaneously )
good luck red---finals are always nerve wracking!

Anybody have gerbils or have had gerbils here? I'm considering buying an aquarium for them because they enjoy these more than plastic cages. But I have NO IDEA how to clean it. I'm filling it with sand if I'm getting one but I don't know how to clean it.
Anybody here maybe have had fish, and are familiar with cleaning out sand/whatever you have at the bottom?
Also, weird question but are aquariums usually made in glass or plastic?

It is a lot of quizzes considering each one takes 45 minutes to an hour to complete. Unfortunately for me, I am up now (6:50am my time) yet the quizzes won't be posted until 8:30 or 9... >.> So much for hoping she had set them to unlock at midnight last night. Was hoping to get an early start on them but that doesn't look like it is going to happen today.
Search google Nekodesu. I don't have nor have I had a gerbil so I can't help ya there. As for what aquariums are made from, it used to be glass and I would assume it still is but I haven't dealt with an aquarium for a while now.

havent had fish since.....well my brothers (and they moved out in the late '70's)
they used to be made of glass, some are now made of plastic.
cleaning....we had 2 kinds of cleaning....the one that was most involved required removing all of the fish and water and vacuuming (special one for this) out the gravel and washing it (dont remember what in...its been 30+ years and I never got lucky enough to get that task)....we had extra gravel so that we could just put it in and clean the other at our leisure----and then the fishies wouldnt be as traumatized either---they dont like being moved.
oy pwnd...that's bad.....though I still dont quite get having so many quizzes at a time.....but maybe thats what online classes are.

We are supposed to do 2 a day but I keep overachieving. I decided to stop at 4 today though. They just became too frustrating since the professor tries to trick us by using different wording than the book uses. So then you can't find it in the book unless you know the other name for it and all this crap. Quite annoying, so I did 4 and just stopped. >.>

I wouldn't use sand for gerbil's as it would really be hard to keep clean. A nice bed of wood shavings would be much easier to keep clean. I have a 20 gallon aquarium with guppies(who are supposed to eat their young). It seems that my guppies just ignore the young so I now have close 100 of them and counting as they are prolific breeders. Well we are due for our 2nd northeaster of the winter with 12-18 inches of snow possible tomorrow.

sorry about that snow rr....been trying to get some down to florida, ah oh well.
yeah stuff that is easier to clean out is better (think my friend had a hamster when we were kids...used wood shaving like stuff for it--or that's what I remember)
pwnd....sounds like a winner of a professor you have there....glad that is past me (though am wondering when I will see my final grade for that class----)

We got more snow here. Just got done shoveling the drive and the walk plus letting the dog run around while I did it. Good thing she loves the snow because she got a workout.
Well on some of the quizzes we could see she did put feedback. It just took a while. Plus she is responsive. She probably isn't the best professor but she is responsive and helpful so I guess you just have to roll with the punches. Like today I took a quiz and got an answer wrong. I looked back over it and one of the questions I missed I couldn't figure out why. My answer was correct according to the book so I emailed the professor. Turns out NONE of the answers were correct lol So she told me she made an error and everyone would get the point. So I just do what I can and yesterday I was just frustrated with things. Today, not so much. 3 quizzes to go.

What class is this, pwnd? All these quiz talk reminded me to crack open my book for my socio class, but then I remembered it has not yet arrived from the mail. :P
This northeaster might not be bad because I live in Boston, chances are the ocean will lessen the snowfall. Western Mass and NH will will have it the worse. I hope this snow takes a dump on us because I'd rather be shoveling than listening to a crazy lady lecture for 3 hours.
