well I made it back alive...and now I need to take my car in, AGAIN...just getting the other one back (I have a new squeak in the back and the rearview mirror leaked oil and now is all very fuzzy to look thru --like smudgey finger prints, though we cleaned it very well-twice, and yes the brand new tire is looking low)
sigh...and tons of mail, emails, hey--got my passport back already WOOOO!!! sometimes I have to wonder if vacations are really worth the amount of stuff I have to do when I get back from them
well need 2 days of sleep (will hope to get a few hours)the computer is looking fuzzier than my rear view mirror so I think its time I find my pillow and blankeees
and happy belated (now) bday azzer!!

>.< I knew it didn't look like a regular birthday cake, but hey a cake is cake xD.
Can't even get a farmer's tan around here...
I don't have a car (no driver license...well actually I don't bother getting my driver's license because I have no car).
Did you have fun on your vacation though ?
Hmmm that math test was easier than what I had last year : for the first time in a long time I answered all the questions in a math test ! .

lol Ya, I had a blast, but getting a tan in October in Wisconsin is pretty much unheard of. Oh well, good time had by all.
My brother doesn't like to drive much even though he has had his licenses for 4 years now. He prefers that I drive, and I like to drive so it all works out for us.

fun......not really...we went digging for quartz crystals (did it last year too and found tons of them)....this year almost nothing and we even had an extra day, but since they had had no rain for the last 2 months it made looking for stuff very difficult, thus not as much fun (though I DID get my day at the spa and my hubby got to go fishing and catch a really bad sunburn!)....it is not something we plan on doing again with the low amount of return on our investment.....
am glad to be home, though had to take the 2nd car in and pick up the first (my cars seem to be speaking to one another )....hope it wont cost me another arm & leg to fix these latest issues.....and got lots of snail mail to plow thru today--though my mailman will probably be happy that all the mail is out of my box now
need another nap

Digging for quartz crystals huh? I have never heard of anyone doing that before. So one you find them do you sell them, and if so, to whom? That seems like it could be interesting and fun.
Home is always nice, even if there are issues. Part of me wants to go back to school someday and take some mechanic classes so that I can work on my own car. I think that it could save a lot of money in the long run.
Last day of fall break... then 2 days of classes before its the weekend.

fall break??? never had one of those.....
hubby is geologist by training, we have LOTS of rocks .....if we had a house we could easily have a nice big rock garden (the size of the whole lawn----)...
being able to do your own car stuff is good--to a point, now with all the computers in the cars its usually some stupid sensor that is causing your issue and that you need to have those new fangled high tech devises to figure out and then replace
back in the carburetor days I knew how to change my air filter, my spark plugs, how to replace the fluids, check/adjust the timing thingy (gads its been so long I dont even remember what that is called).....Chilton and I were buddies....
now, I can replace the wipers and have the number for the dealership handy
well I need to get to that pile of laundry and the mailand putting everything away and ....

Many schools don't have those. I only get it because Bradley is stupid and won't give us holidays and only 3 days for Thanksgiving instead of a week. Oh well.
The computers were meant to make things "Easier" but I agree, they are a pain. A warning light goes off and the first thought through everyones mind is, probably the damn computer again. But what if it is a REAL alarm? One can never be sure thanks to the stupid malfunctioning computers. Oh well.

I went to augustana remember---we only had thanksgiving day and the friday after off when I attended....so bradley is no stupider on that (and only 2 weeks off at xmas too)...so we had no extra time off either (only 1 week at the end of february for 'spring break')..
and yeah the more they put into the car the easier it is to break it.

Wow, that majorly sucks. Though I think Augustana might have changed that but I'm not 100% sure. Our spring break is in March, but for me it will be whenever the schools are since I'll be student teaching. Oh well.

i saw an interesting program last night (before the national team played) about "Stevns Klint" it's on the verge of being just as "important" as the pyramids and such, since there's loads and loads of Iridium in it, which is a substance only found in asteroids. The asteroid was around 10km in Diameter.

hm, will have to look for that program azzer--sounds interesting.
and yeah augie went from a quarter school to a 5-1-5 so everything has changed since I was there (there were trying to move to semesters when I attended, but only the faculty wanted that--so it never happened).
got my car back, have a new rear view mirror--not quite like the old one, but hope it stays intact!

Interesting program indeed azzer.
New rearview mirror, no fingerprints on it and nice and clean! Cool!
lol Really? I don't remember how often I have to renew my licenses but I believe it is just they send me something in the mail, I send it back, and then they send me my new license. Or something like that.

Well, in Denmark it is like when you hit 70, you need to take a new test.. IMO it should be every 10th year, BUT free of charge ig you pass on first try.
And yes, was quite intriguing that program, sadly it was a danish host(ess) so not many understands it. but it gives scientists the "there WAS! an asteroid that killed of the world" (not the asteroid in itself, but the ash cloud afterwards)

yeah in the usa you have 10 years on drivers licenses, after that if you have been good you can get a 2 year extension (which I did --length also dependent on the state issuing it) but you dont have to retake the test unless you move to another state (which I have done a few times ) and then you have any where between 30 to 90 days to get a new license with your new address on it (every state is different but I know none are longer than 3 months)....only thing you have to take each time is the eye test (which I always have a chuckle about since I am blind in one eye---so 'is the dot inside or outside the box?' ..'uhm, what box?' )...

I got mine renewed after my 21st birthday in order to get the new licenses that allows me to get into bars and such. Don't have to worry about getting a new one for a while now.
