ohhhh tofu ribs, now there is a new one.....or grilled eggplant....yessss----many choices for rib-less good-ness.
no jazz....probably could find a few places, like libraries, funerals or some churches----and i'd have to say a few mosques probably too....
back to dinner----

ah wedding food can either be really good or horrible with very little inbetween....
though its the cake thats important
recently my hubby made a cd of our wedding vid (yes vhs werent none of them thar dvd fangled thingys back then)....man I should not have even gotten a vid of it, I would rather forget some of it altogether......though we made a copy for his mom (since his deceased brother was one of our ushers).....it was a long time ago, in a galaxy not quite far enough away------------------------

yeah I dont see any new weddings in my family's future (my niece was going to get married then broke up with him so thats a no go)....and my nephew I would like to think he has a lady friend by now, but being the geek he is, I doubt it (and his brother doesnt even leave the house).....
so yeah should be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time before I need to don the clothing of formal wear.

I gave up looking for a job since I refuse to get paid mini wage and I cant speak spanish (geesh its the USA we really SHOULD get ourselves a national language OTHER than spanish!).
So the choices are either health care (been there dont want to go back) or flippin burgers (did that too--never ever again).
Am over educated for most jobs so I didnt even get call backs when I was sending out my resume....so in the end I just plain gave in (my hubby has 2 jobs now--good thing too)
and weddings arent that expensive if you plan them correctly. First RENT the dress/tuxes...since you will NEVER wear them again and lets face it, your kids aint gonna like your taste in clothing when its their turn!....I was lucky to have a sister who plays organ so that was covered, and a friend sang for us so that was all free. LOOK AROUND for cheaper places to have the reception, and since mine was on a sunday night--I only had wine available for drinking (much to my siblings ire).....Go with fake flowers--you can make your own bouquet with a book and a good craft store, they will last forever and wont make anyone sneeze.
There are plenty of ways of making a full wedding (not the JofP type) affordable.
sorry had a soap box just itching to be stood upon.

I am working on getting out of college to get a full time job. My current one is a summer job. It doesn't pay well but I met superintendents, principals, and lots of teachers. So it's good networking. And yes, I work as a summer janitor at my old school.
I don't think anyone I know rented their dresses. They all bought them. As for the tuxes, they were definitely rented. I don't know about flowers either. But hey, I didn't have to pay for it so what do I know? And as far as I know, when I get married my parents only have to pay for like the rehearsal dinner. The girls parents get the shaft.

my girlfriend in Idaho rented her dress as she had to pay for the whole wedding herself (parents are divorced and mom has some severe mental issues--and wasnt even at the wedding)...the whole thing (including reception) was at the church and she made most of the food herself (was only appetizers no sit down meal), except the cake.
It was nice and small and very quickly over----which was good since I stood up for her (and yes I still have my dress, it was very nice, though grape in color)....she is still very happily married living with 4 cats and her hubby

hey azzer...where you been hiding out?????
Hope things are well there----
yeah weddings are over rated...mine was more about family than anything else, most of my friends were not able to attend so it was basically a big family get together with people I havent seen in years (before and since).....for the most part.

Well, to no surprise, i've been sick! haha.
however, i've just got into something called a "phobia school" where they will try end relieve me of all/some/worst of my phobias, paid by the local city hall.
Yeah, i think also family are overrated, i'd rather be with friends than family to be honest.

I wish I could have a small wedding but I don't think that would fly with her parents or mine. Oh well.
You are always sick. You need to work on that.
